“Annihilate everyone here?”
James froze.
There were at least 10 thousand Overworld Outsiders here. No way could he pull off such a feat.
“Yes.” Marcello said, “This Celestial Abode is left behind by the Primordials. It won’t be easycrossing all nine barriers. I’d say annihilating them all would be easier, comparatively speaking,” hesaid nonchalantly.
However, James was horrified.
His opponents greatly outnumbered him in size and strength. There were at least five OverworldOutsiders at the Supernatural Consummation rank. Besides, he could not see through the Son ofHeaven, who might have reached the Herculean rank long ago. Numerous cultivators had alsoreleased the Eighth Inner Gate.
How could he accomplish such a feat?
James looked at Marcello, wondering how on earth was he so assured of his own strength. Perhapshe was already at the Herculean stage. In that case, it would be possible for them to annihilateeveryone here.
“H-Have you reached the Herculean stage?” James prompted.
Marcello smiled and remained silent.
However, his smile was the only thing James needed to know about his strength. Marcello musthave reached the Herculean stage.
At that moment, an idea surfaced in his mind. Since almost every Overworld Outsider had enteredthe Celestial Abode, peace would return to Earth if he could annihilate them all here. Although hehad an agreement with the Overworld Outsiders, the deal would only hold as long as there wereenough benefits for everyone. If there were not enough benefits for everyone, no one would payany heed to the agreement made.
“What do you think?”
Marcello looked at James who was deep in thought.
After some time, James looked at Marcello and said, “We can work together. However, I’m notconfident I can annihilate everyone here.”
“Oh, no worries.”
Marcello smiled.
Then, he headed toward the foot of the mountain, while James followed close behind.
It was a winding path surrounded by deep foliage on both sides. Since there were many mysteriousherbs and berries throughout the area, the alluring fragrance they exuded served as a powerfulmotivator to the challengers.
As they walked side by side, James asked, “When do we make a move?”
Marcello smiled and said, “Why the hurry? We’re only at the first barrier. It won’t be easy crossing allnine barriers, you know? Let’s observe the situation for now.”novelbin
Hearing this, James nodded slightly.
Before long, a golem blocked the path before them. The golem was two meters in height, and it washolding a sword in its hand.
“Everyone, to cross the first barrier, you’ll have to pass by the golem.”
Though the shadow was nowhere to be seen, his voice reverberated throughout the area.
Right then, someone laughed.
“I was wondering how hard it could be. I never expected this to be this easy!”
Then, he summoned all his strength and charged toward the golem.
Just as he was about to pass by the golem, the golem raised the sword in its hand and slashed withgreat force.
The golem struck with extraordinary speed. Before the man could react, he was slashed by thesword, and his physical body immediately disintegrated. Not even a piece of him remained.
“What?”
Everyone was stunned.
The man had crossed into the Supernatural rank and released the Third Inner Gate. However, helost his life in an instant.
“How powerful…”
James took a deep breath.
After the man was annihilated, the others did not dare act recklessly.
