Chapter 1997

Leandro Xamir was the butler of the Son of Heaven, a mere servant. However, as the Son ofHeaven wielded enormous influence, no one dared cross Leandro. Under normal circumstances, his words represented the Son of Heaven. Upon seeing James’ terrifying strength, he intended toexterminate him on Mount Bane.

They looked at one another and nodded.

“I have long wished to annihilate him,” Xain said.

After James killed his disciple, he had been thinking of ways to enact revenge. However, he wasafraid of James’ strength. Now that they joined forces, he was no longer intimidated.

In the distance, Yandel was covered in blood, his hair disheveled. He looked at James furiously androared, “You’ve provoked me, you b*stard! I’ll tear you to pieces!”

Fwoosh!

At that moment, the sound of the wind could be heard.

James scanned his surroundings.

Xain, Wynter, Samarth, and Leandro had appeared, blocking his path to retreat. They all exudedterrifying auras.

All of them had broken free of the Nine Inner Gates and were now at the SupernaturalConsummation rank. As they were merely a few steps away from reaching the Herculean rank, theypossessed enormous strength. Their aura began to form a powerful magnetic field.

Trapped in the middle, James could feel terrifying pressure from all sides. James began to havetrouble breathing. In just a short amount of time, he was showing signs of plummeting from the sky.

As he discharged waves of Demonic Energy, he turned to look at his opponents.

“Ganging up on me now?”

He smirked coldly.

Leandro said coldly, “As a descendant of sinners, not only did you not repent, but you even followedthe path of your ancestors. Today, I shall exterminate you for the sake of humanity.”

“Hahaha!”

James burst into a peal of laughter.

“For the sake of humanity? Don’t make me laugh.”

“Leandro, no need to waste your breath on him. Just do it.” Samarth said.

Saying that, he brandished his sword.

Though his sword looked ordinary from the outside, it radiated a white blinding light as it left itssheath.

He was the first to make a move.

In the blink of an eye, he appeared before James and slashed at James’ chest.

Before even making contact with the sword, James could feel a terrifying pressure emanating fromwithin.novelbin

Immediately, the black lotus below him appeared in front of him and blocked the attack. As theglimmering white light pierced through the black lotus, it was immediately devoured.

As Samarth knew how terrifying the black lotus and Demonic Energy were, he hurriedly abandonedhis sword and retreated for fear of being contaminated by the Demonic Energy the black lotuspossessed.

James now had a murderous look on his face. It appeared that negotiations would not go throughby playing nice.

He had no choice but to engage in a battle against them. Though he did not wish to resort toviolence, he had no other choice.

“Argh!”

Like a ferocious beast, he roared.

Many living beings had come from the Overworld in the vicinity of Mount Bane over the past threeyears.

James’ appearance and his battle against Matias had spread far and wide. Sensing the energyfluctuations in the air, many hurriedly made their way there to spectate the battle. Although theywere not as strong as Xain, Samarth, Yandel, and the others, they were no pushovers either.

In a short amount of time, thousands gathered. Upon seeing James surrounded by some of themost powerful figures of the Overworld, they were stunned.
