Chapter 1963

Having been through Earth’s darkest hour, everything now was considered relatively peaceful to thecustodian.

James felt relieved since the custodian did not bring up anything in particular that happenedoutside, which meant things were still under control.

“What do I have to do to be resurrected?”

James eagerly looked at the custodian. He longed to be resurrected and walk out of this place alive.

The custodian glanced at James and flicked her wrist. James felt his spectral form hover forward asit unsteadily moved toward the physical body on the ground.

At that moment, a mysterious mark formed on the custodian’s hand.

She chanted some words, and mysterious symbols entered James’ body one by one.

About five minutes passed.

James slowly opened his eyes after having entered the body on the ground.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he saw a beautiful woman standing before him. Her alluring facewas solemn as she quietly stared at James.

James got up from the ground.

“A-Am I alive again?”

He swung around his limbs but found that his movements were slightly awkward.

Despite that, he was able to control the body.

“How do you feel?”

The custodian looked at James.

James replied, “It’s not bad. I feel infinite power surging through my body.”novelbin

He clenched his fists tightly. His physical strength had improved, and he was much stronger thanbefore. At that moment, a dauntless and confident expression flashed on his face.

Compared to his previous body, he was much stronger now.

The custodian warned. “Don’t get cocky. Your current physical body is in its formative stage and isvery weak. Your physical body has a lot of potential to grow, and in time, you’ll definitely become aformidable powerhouse. However, there are significant drawbacks that come with it. I hope you canstay true to your pledge and contribute to humankind.”

James clasped his hands into a fist and said, “I’ll do my best!”

The custodian nodded slightly and said, “Mhm, that’s enough. You can leave now.”

James could not help asking, “By the way, how is Thea doing?”

It had been three years since his death. Thea likely spent this whole time purifying the DemonicEnergy in her body. James was eager to know her condition.

“She’s alright.”

The custodian said, “However, there’s a considerable amount of Demonic Energy in her body, and itcan’t be purified in such a short period. It’ll take some more time. You can leave here rest assuredthat Thea will be safe here.”

Hearing this, James heaved a sigh of relief.

The custodian waved her hand through the air, and powerful energy flowed from her sleeves, enveloping James.

James felt his vision go blurry. When he opened his eyes again, he was already outside.

He was transported to a place on Mount Tai where there were no signs of human life.

James took a deep breath after finally stepping foot into the outside world again.

“It’s been three years since then... I don’t know how much Earth has changed in this time. I wonderif Xain died three years ago.”

Thinking of what happened three years ago, James’ heart began to beat faster. Without thecustodian’s help, he would have perished and ceased to exist in this world.

“The custodian is truly almighty.”

James was shocked by the custodian’s strength.

What kind of method did she use to gather his scattered soul with just a few motions of her hand?

Even though he was a martial artist, it was hard for him to comprehend her powers.

A man whose body was blown into nothing had been resurrected.

Her powers defied the natural law of the heavens.

If not because James had personally experienced such unearthly power for himself, he would neverhave believed they existed.
