James had been waiting to hear from Henry.

Cynthia glanced at the phone. When she realized it was a message from Maxine, she furrowed herbrows unconsciously and said, “Isn’t Maxine the Master of Floret Palace and the Chancellor ofTacriyrus right now? Why is she in Cansington, and why is she coming to our house?”
For the past few years, Tiara had been living at Cynthia’s house. They spent all these yearstogether and became the best of friends who would confide in one another about anything.

Cynthia promptly pressed the remote control and the door opened.

Both of them stood up as well.
“Maxine.” Tiara’s face was beaming with joy. She said, “You’re really here. I thought you werejoking.”

Maxine glanced at Tiara and could not help but chuckle.
Tiara looked slightly bashful. She experienced yet another growth spurt because she absorbed thepower of the Dragon Essence.
“By the way, James will be here later,” said Maxine.

When she heard that, Tiara was stunned.

This man had been buried in her heart for years.
Cynthia, on the other hand, looked delighted. She asked, “Really? Is James really coming here?I’ve heard that a year ago, Thea gave birth to a girl and that the child is at the Callahans’ villa rightnow. I wanted to visit the Callahans to take a look, but I couldn’t find the time.”
“Mhm. He’ll be here.”
Maxine had a smile on her face.
She sat down on the sofa and crossed her legs. With a carefree expression, she said, “He hadinitially returned to the Southern Plains, but I took his child and forced him to come to Cansington.”
She was talking about it casually.
