Chapter 1848

With Thea’s support, James left Mount Bane.

Tyrus also accompanied him.novelbin

After leaving Mount Bane, James deliberately slowed his pace, waiting for the other martial artists toleave first.

When everyone else had left, he stopped in his tracks and turned to Tyrus, asking, “What did yougive to me just now?”

James already knew that it was a spiritual fruit that was formed after the seal started breaking. TheEmpyrean Spiritual Energy from the Sealed Land began to leak out, and some plants on earthmutated as a result.

However, he pretended not to know anything because he was unsure of whether Tyrus knew aboutthe seal.

Tyrus said with a smile, “There’s a lot more you have yet to know, James. However, it’s not the timefor you to know yet. Don’t rush back to Cansington. Come with me to the Southern Plains. There’ssomeone I’d like you to meet.”

James asked warily, “Hmm? You want me to see someone in the Southern Plains?”

“You’ll understand when you’re there.”

Hearing this, James looked at Thea.

Thea understood his intentions and immediately said, “It’s alright. I can return alone.”

“No. I’ll get Grandpa to escort you back.”

James planned to head to the Southern Plains but was worried about Thea.

After thinking about it, he still felt that it was ill-advised.

He would blame himself if something were to happen when Thomas was escorting Thea. Since itonly took a few hours to arrive at the Southern Plains via plane, he came to a decision.

“You should come with me instead.”

“Alright.” Thea nodded.

Although Thea’s due date was approaching, she showed no signs of going into labor anytime soon.It seemed that their baby would not be born in the next few days.

After concluding their talk, the trio headed to the Southern Plains together.

Tyrus led James and Thea to a cliff on Mount Thunder Pass in the Southern Plains.

Thea had been to this place before.

Back then, she followed Tapio to this cliff and even headed in to explore further. However, there wasa magic circle at the bottom, so she quickly turned back since she knew nothing about magic circlesor how to handle them.

James looked at Tyrus and asked, “Who are we here to see?”

“You’ll know when you see him.”

With a flash, Tyrus jumped from the cliff and arrived at the bottom.

James looked at Thea, asking, “Will you be able to keep up?”

Thea smiled and said, “Why not?”

She mobilized her True Energy and followed Tyrus down the cliff.

James followed closely behind her.

Soon, three of them landed at the bottom.

The place's layout was strange. It was thanks to the extraordinary formation that surrounded thearea. Without any understanding of formations, one would die after being trapped and drained oftheir energy.

With Tyrus leading the way, James and Thea easily passed through the formation and entered anatural stone cavern.

The cavern’s entrance was rather small, but the interior extended in different directions. There waseven an underground palace within.

James’ curiosity about the person Tyrus wanted him to meet was piqued.

However, Tyrus remained tight-lipped about it, so he did not inquire further.

With Tyrus’ guidance, James and Thea reached the deepest part of the underground palace, wherethere was a cell with iron bars. A single person was within the cell.

Tyrus stopped in front of the cell.

Although it was a cell, a decently clean room was inside it.

There was a woman in a white dress and long hair seated on a chair. Her eyes had a far-off look asshe stared at nothing in particular.

“Sir?”

With doubt on his face, James asked, “Who’s this? Why did you bring me to see her?”

“Her name is Xandra Lafleur.”

Tyrus looked at the person in the room.

Unbeknownst to James, this was not a prison.
