Chapter 1846

After James had defeated Kaj, Void Sect’s strongest elder struck James.

James had already been injured yet sustained another blow from Void Sect’s powerhouse. At thatmoment, the meridians throughout his body were broken, and he had severe internal injuries. Hefelt dizzy and his eyelids grew heavy.

“No, I can’t fall asleep.”

James was still vaguely conscious, but he gradually became increasingly groggy.

In his hazy state, he thought he caught a glimpse of Thea rushing toward him.

“Thea.”

James wanted to get up, but his whole body was wracked in agonizing pain, and he had no strengthleft.

He performed the healing method recorded in the medical book and mobilized his Terra and LunarEnergies to quickly mend his injuries.

Thea rushed over from afar.

Witnessing James being struck, the Four Holy Beasts’ blood in her body made her go berserk. Adreadful energy emanated from her body as soon as she transformed. She flew over and unleashedExalter, attacking the Void Sect’s powerhouse.novelbin

Although Thea had not reached the ninth rank, her Exalter and Murderous Energy were difficult tocounter.

However, the Void Sect’s powerhouse kept his cool, and a golden light erupted from his body toform a protective shield, which blocked Exalter’s attacks.

“Thea.”

A gentle voice called out for her.

Shortly after, a man showed up.

Dressed in a white robe, he looked to be in his 30s and radiated with elegance.

It was Tyrus.

Tyrus appeared behind Thea and tapped her shoulder a few times.

Thea, who was in a maddened state, returned to normal and withdrew Exalter. She glared at VoidSect’s elites and roared furiously, “What’s the meaning of this? This was a battle between Jamesand Kaj! Why did you interfere?”

The elderly man from Void Sect cast a glance at Thea and said bluntly, “So what if I interfered?Anyone who hurts my disciple must die.”

At that moment, Kaj stood up from the ground.

James’ Sword Energy had pierced through his body. Despite sustaining grievous wounds whichnearly killed him, he still would not go down so easily since he was a ninth-ranked grandmaster.

Seeing Kaj stand up, the elderly man heaved a sigh of relief. He walked toward Kaj and asked, “Areyou alright?”

Kaj gently shook his head. With a pale face, he replied weakly, “I’m hurt quite badly, but it's notenough to kill me.”

At that moment, Tyrus walked toward James and quickly checked his injuries. Then, he proppedhim up into a lotus position and took out a mysterious fruit for James to eat.

James was still conscious when the fruit was stuffed into his mouth. He could smell the fruit’sfragrance, and when he bit down on it, James felt Empyrean Spiritual Energy flow into him from thefruit.

“T-This fruit contains Empyrean Spiritual Energy?”

James looked at Tyrus in shock.

Tyrus waved his hand and said, “Don’t talk. You should concentrate on healing your wounds. Leavethe rest to me.”

“Alright.”

James nodded, stopped talking, and began to quickly treat his wounds.

Tyrus looked at the elderly man of Void Sect. With his hands behind him, he said with a menacingvoice, “What’s the meaning of this, old man? Do you really think Sol has no powerful martialartists?”

The elderly man glanced at Tyrus and said disdainfully, “So what if I’m trampling on you guys? There isn’t anyone that can stand up to me. What are you going to do?”

Immediately afterward, he issued an order, “Get them all! Don’t let any of them leave.”

Following his order, all 20 martial artists from Void Sect took action.

Most of them had reached the peak of the Skyward Stairway’s Ninth Stair. Some were even Half-Saints.

Seeing the 20 people move in unison, Thomas and the others immediately bore desperategrimaces as they quickly retreated.

“Stop right there!”

At that moment, a shout resounded.

The voice was like thunder ringing in everyone’s ear.

The Void Sect’s disciples were shocked and stopped in their tracks, not daring to move as theysearched for where the sound came from.
