Maxine quickly got up and grabbed Thea’s wrist to check her pulse. The moment her skin made

Maxine touched her nose pensively and muttered, “She’s got a stick up her *ss this time too, huh?”
She shooed away her thoughts and chose not to linger at Thea’s place any longer.
When Thea was in her house, she opened her suitcase and emptied its contents. Inside were her
clothes, mask and the Malevolent Sword.
Then, she hurriedly hid everything in her closet.
Afterward, she limped into the bathroom, took off her clothes, and scrutinized her body in front of the
