Chapter 1154

James immediately pulled out the Blade of Justice, and his body vanished. Then, he reappeared in

front of Jackson seconds later.

Delainey shouted frantically, “Dad, watch out!”

Jackson raised his hand and potent True Energy formed in his palm, creating a protective shield to

resist James’ attacks.

As if he were trying to pierce a leaden plate, James could not penetrate the barrier despite putting in all

his efforts.

In the same moment, Jackson was also shocked by James’ strength. It took all he had simply to repel

James’ attacks.

“James, Mount Thunder Sect has no quarrel with the Cadens. What do you mean by this?” Jackson

looked him in the eye with a gaze of cold steel.

Refusing to answer, James suddenly backed away. He jumped into the air and swung his sword

downward.

Whoosh!

A ten-meter-long Sword Energy materialized out of the Blade of Justice and slashed toward Jackson

with destructive strength.

“Delainey, get to safety!”

Jackson quickly stretched out his hand, pushed Delainey away, and did a backstep. He moved his

palms in a quick circular motion, releasing Palm Energy to defend against the Sword Energy’s attack.

Unfortunately, his Palm Energy was immediately shattered.

Jackson furrowed his brows, and he quickly dodged the attack.

Boom!

The Sword Energy struck into the ground, causing a deep pit to form, and hurled chunks of ice into the

air.

“That Sword Energy is quite the fearsome thing.” Jackson leaped a hundred meters away and stared at

James uneasily. He found it hard to believe that such a young martial artist could execute such a

devastating attack.

The commotion outside caught the attention of Mount Thunder Sect’s disciples.

The elders who left also turned back to see their sect leader fighting with James.

They quickly drew their swords and entered their fighting stances.

“What’s the meaning of this James?!” An elder exclaimed furiously.

Joining him, another elder also roared, “Do you really think you’re invincible? Are you planning to

challenge the entire Mount Thunder Sect alone?”

“Everyone, stand down!” Jackson barked sternly.

The elders and disciples retreated one after another.

“Haha…”

After the crowd had dispersed, Jackson unexpectedly burst into laughter.

“I haven’t fought in decades. It’s rare to have found a match worthy of my skill. It’s rumored that the

Cadens’ Thirteen Heavenly Swords is unparalleled, but I’ve never had the chance to witness it myself.

I’d love to see if it is as terrifying as the legends make it out to be.”

Jackson’s laughter echoed throughout the surrounding area, making it seem more devious.

“To me, Frost Sword…”

He waved his hand and a great force zoomed toward the mountain’s leeward side.

Inside a cave, a sword was left encased in a block of ice.

The two-meter-long sword had a crystal clear hilt as if it too, was made of ice.

The force attracted the sword, and it quickly escaped its icy confines and hurtled out of the cave.

Whoosh!

The sword shot up into the sky like a rocket and radiated a dazzling white light.

“Frost Sword!”

“It’s the Frost Sword that had been frozen for hundreds of years! It’s finally reappeared again!”novelbin

The Mount Thunder Sect’s elders exclaimed in awe.

The sword was Mount Thunder Sect’s Divine Sword forged by a strong ancestor of the sect 500 years

ago.

This sword was one of the most well-known Divine Swords worldwide and could easily be ranked

among the strongest swords in Sol.

It was also the sword wielded by the Great Grandmaster who was also the Mount Thunder Sect’s

leader hundreds of years ago.

Frost Sword flew over, and Jackson quickly caught the hilt in his hands.

He held the sword horizontally, pointing the length of its blade at James.

“Come at me, James.”

James gritted his teeth in response.

He refused to use underhanded means to assassinate Mount Thunder Sect’s leader. He originally

planned to defeat the sect leader in an honorable battle and kill him in exchange for the safety and

release of his friends and family.

Now that he had witnessed Jackson’s overwhelming strength firsthand, James realized that he had

maybe bitten off more than he could chew.

However, he was at a point of no return.

“Sorry but this is nothing personal.”
