Braxton Micah was not in the military region at the moment. After receiving notice, he immediately
made his way there.
In just half an hour, he appeared before James.
“Sir…”
He was sweating profusely on the forehead.
James looked at the man before him. He was a three-star general and second-in-command of the Red
Flame Army. After the previous Emperor’s death, he was temporarily made in charge of the Red Flame

“General Micah…” James looked at him.
“Your orders, sir?” Though sweat beaded on Braxton’s forehead, he did not dare wipe them off.

“Yes, the Capital, the city which the Red Flame Army is in charge of. But why do I hear that there have
been many incidents ever since the demise of the previous Emperor?”
James’ nonchalant attitude sent a shiver down Braxton’s spine. He asked, “S-Sir, what are you
referring to, may I ask?”
James said, “There’s a company called Blue Tech Corporation in the Capital which went bankrupt all of
a sudden recently. The owner disappeared without a trace. Meanwhile, his daughter, a popular actress
working for an entertainment company, was fired after debt collectors went knocking on the company’s
doors. Why would any decent and upright individual not pursue the legal route but instead resort to
such underhanded tactics?”
“What? Preposterous!” Enraged, Braxton cried out, “How could such a thing happen in the Capital?
Don’t worry, sir! I’ll investigate the matter immediately. I promise that the whole truth will be revealed
tomorrow morning. If we find out that the suspects have violated the law, they will be punished
severely!”
“I want the results by tomorrow morning.” Leaving this remark, James stood up and left.
Although he had ordered his subordinates to investigate the matter, he was still worried, so he specially
came to the military region.
After he left, Braxton breathed a sigh of relief. Every leader would love to make an impressive start
upon assuming a position. This was inevitable.
Braxton was concerned. He swiftly returned to his office.
“We’ll have a meeting in ten minutes!”

After James gave his order to Braxton, he simply returned to the Emperor’s Mansion.
Something unexpected happened before he could meet Madelyn. He was a little disappointed. After

James, he was worried sick.

Looking at her phone, she said, “James has set up another rendezvous. This time, we’ll be meeting in
the underground parking lot of Freedom Plaza at 11 p.m.”
“I’ll go with you.”
Yaroslav could not wait any longer. He was worried that something would happen if they dragged this
out. He had to meet with James as soon as possible and work out the details of their cooperation. That
was the only way he could survive.
After brief contemplation, Madelyn said, “Got it.”
After setting up the time, James disguised himself as a security guard and silently left the Emperor’s
Mansion. After he left, he changed into different cars every now and then and got changed into multiple
clothing. At long last, he arrived in the underground parking lot of Freedom Plaza.
There were ten minutes left until it turned 11 p.m.

“I think we’re clear.”
“Got it.” Yaroslav nodded. “Contact James.”
Madelyn sent James a message.
[We’ve arrived. Our car plate number is…]

searching for, he walked over to the black sedan and gently knocked on the car door.
