Chapter 1105

The three of them were shocked by Zaiden’s words.

“Yes…”

Zaiden asked, “He’s too strong. If he wasn’t this strong, he wouldn’t have the ambition to conquer the

world.”

James knew that Yaakov Johnston, Grand Patriarch of the Johnstons, was 160 years old. Even

ordinary people could live up to a hundred years if they pay attention to their health, let alone martial

artists.

If Callan Maverick managed to escape back then, he would only be around 140 years old now. There’s

a possibility that he’s still alive.

Seventh-rank a hundred years ago at the age of forty? He had to be a genius. Now that a hundrednovelbin

years have passed, he must have made a breakthrough into the eighth rank. Thinking about this, he

took a deep breath.

Maxine asked, “What else do you know about Mr. Gabriel?”

Zaiden shook his head slightly and said, “He’s a mysterious man. The Sullivans know little about him. I

only know that he cultivates True Frost Energy, albeit through a flawed cultivation method. This causes

him to shiver when cultivating.”

James asked, “Where does he live?”

Zaiden shook his head. He knew nothing about this. The Sullivans had never concerned themselves

with the affairs of the outside world.

“Thanks.”

James knew they could gain no more information from Zaiden. He stood up and looked at Thea and

Maxine, “Let’s get going.”

Then, they left the Sullivans and got on the convoy.

James asked while driving, “Is Callan Maverick really that powerful?”

Maxine shook her head, “I don’t know either. Records of the battle against the Gu Sect are little to none

in the Cadens. Not even Grandpa knows about this.”

James sighed. If Callan Maverick was his final enemy, it would be nigh impossible to defeat him.

Maxine said, “Now that we have confirmation that it was Mr. Gabriel who leaked the information, our

previous conjecture stands correct. If we can find Mr. Gabriel, we will know if Thomas was the one

behind this.”

Even Thea had grown suspicious of Thomas. After all, Maxine’s speculation had been proven correct.

If they find Mr. Gabriel, the whole truth would be revealed.

Maxine looked at James and asked, “What will you do if it’s really Thomas?”

Screech!

James slammed on the brakes, and the convoy stopped.

Wearing a grim expression, James said, “Even if Grandpa was the one who leaked the information to

Yaroslav, I don’t think he wishes to bring harm to me. He knew that as long as the Grand Patriarchs of

the other three families don’t show up, I won’t be in danger.”

Maxine said, “Even if he doesn’t wish you harm, how will you face him in the future? He’s the man

behind Yaroslav and someone affiliated with the Gu Sect. He’s someone in cahoots with Callan

Maverick who wishes to wreak havoc in this world. You only have two options: one, resign as the

Dragon King and the head of the commanders-in-chief and sit idly by as the world falls into chaos. Two,

fight against your Grandpa.”

“Surely it isn’t that serious.” Thea said, “Let’s not jump to conclusions. Don’t force James to make a

choice now. The truth isn’t out yet.”

Maxine fell silent.

After taking a deep breath, James continued driving.

Soon, they arrived at the Emperor’s Mansion.

The moment they entered the mansion, Thea’s phone rang. It was an unknown number. She answered

the call, “Hello, who’s there?”
