After a few seconds, he regained his composure and walked over quickly. “Director, I’m sorry. I’ve
made a mistake. I was oblivious and overlooked an important figure, but I was only acting in the
patient's best interests. Please… Please don’t fire me.”
“You good-for-nothing. You're only causing me problems.” Carl raised his hand and was about to give
him a slap.
“It’s alright. Forget about it,” James said nonchalantly.
Carl stopped right then.
James asked, “Can I now go inside and see the patient?”
“Yes, you can. You certainly can.” Dr. Wallace kept nodding his head.
“I’ll arrange for someone to be your assistant right away,” Carl said promptly.
James waved his hand slightly and said, “There’s no need. I can handle it on my own.”
He walked straight into the ward as he said that.
Outside the ward, the Youngblood family members were staring at each other, perplexed.
“Who exactly is that brat?”
“He seemed to be quite capable. Even the director of Healthstone Hospital treats him with such
respect.”
"I wonder what his background is."
The members of the Youngblood family were discussing in a hushed tone.
Maya walked to Tiara and stood in front of her. “Tiara, who is that person?” she inquired softly.
“He’s…” Tiara cast a glance at Zigmund and noticed him shaking his head at her. Then, she replied,
“Just…Just a friend.”
“A friend? What’s his background?” Maya had grown very curious about James.
Healthstone Hospital catered specifically to the nobility. Even Matthew was unable to summon the
director, but James only needed to make a phone call before the director eagerly came running.
However, she had had people look into every son of nobility in the Capital before, and James was not
one of them.
Tiara shook her head and said nothing else.
“Tell me who he is, you brat.” Maya appeared frustrated and as if she was about to tug on Tiara's ear.
Matthew was furrowing his brows and staring at James who was already inside the ward. “He only
needed to make a phone call, and the director eagerly rushed over. But I've never seen him in thenovelbin
Capital before. Who exactly is this brat?” he muttered.
Everyone outside was speculating about James’ identity.
James, on the other hand, had already entered the ward.
On the hospital bed was an old lady. There were numerous medical tubes connected to her body while
her face was covered with a ventilator. She was unconscious.
James approached her and took her hand in his while checking her pulse. He soon determined what
kind of illness it was.
If this had happened before, he would not have been able to treat it in such a short period of time. To
recover, it would have taken a lot of acupuncture sessions and some medication.
However, things had changed. Crucifier was now in his possession. He also had a strong cultivation
base in his body.
From his sleeve, a thin silver wire came loose and split into numerous silver needles.
James began to insert the needles. Soon, the patient's body was covered in quite a few of them.
Since James had a strong cultivation base now, he could insert more than forty needles at once.
Crucifier was made miraculous by the boon of True Energy. Thea's grandmother's body was quickly
repaired by the potent True Energy.
Within ten minutes, the old lady who had been unconscious soon awoke. Right then, she felt relaxed
throughout her entire body.
“You're all good now, Madam,” James said after retrieving the needles. “You may be discharged from
the hospital.”
While he was saying that, he removed the medical tubes from her body and took the ventilator off her
face.
The elderly woman rose from her bed and looked at James, puzzled. “You… you are?”
“I’m Tiara’s friend. She said you were sick and she wanted me to come and save you. I still have some
things to do, so I’ll take my leave now.” James said with a smile.
After James said his greetings, he turned around and left the room.
Many people were gathered outside the door. They had waited for about ten minutes before the ward
door opened and James walked out.
Shortly after, Tiara’s grandmother walked out as well.
Everyone was stunned when they saw this.
