Chapter 1033

“What are you looking at?” Matthew scoffed. “Who do you think you are to pursue Tiara when you look

like that?”

“James, you…please don’t take this to heart,” Tiara said softly, her head hung low.

The marriage arrangement was made solely by her mother.

Before, her mother had tried to get her to return and get engaged to Matthew, but she was always in

Cansington. She had only recently returned when her grandmother was critically ill.

Only she and her father were aware of what had occurred in Cansington. The rest of the Youngblood

family was completely unaware.

James gave a small wave of his hand and said, “I’m simply here to see the patient. She’s in the ward,

right? I’ll go take a look.”

“Yes. She’s inside.” Tiara had a smile on her face. “I’ll show you in.”

James' identity was unknown to the others, but Tiara was aware of it. He was not just a skilled ancient

martial artist; he was also a brilliant doctor. Her grandmother might be saved if James was willing to

help.

“What are you doing?”

Matthew stepped forward immediately and stopped them. “Tiara, what are you doing? This is the ICU.

Even relatives are prohibited from entering, only the attending physician is allowed. You're now letting

an outsider in?”

“J-James is a doctor,” said Tiara softly.

“Even then, this is not permitted,” Matthew suddenly raised his voice and exclaimed, “Which hospital is

he from? Is it Healthstone Hospital? Even if he is, he’s not authorized to enter. Besides, he…”

Matthew took a close look at James and thought he did not look like a doctor at all.

“Does he look like a doctor to you?”

Tiara’s mother stood out and said disapprovingly. “What's the matter with you, Tiara? Why do you just

make friends with random people? It won't be long before you and Mr. Henderson are engaged. Stop

interacting with these shady characters, I'm warning you.”

“Mother, I…”

Tiara opened her mouth but could not say a word.

Zigmund stepped forward and said, “He is indeed a doctor. Let him go inside and take a look. It’ll be

hopeless for Mother if not even he can save her.”

He knew of James’ identity and his medical skills. They were unrivaled in the entire world. He had

never, though, attended to a patient who was not his own.

Now James was about to examine his mother. This was a great honor for the Youngblood family.

“Mr. Youngblood,” Matthew said immediately, “The experts will arrive in the afternoon. There can't be

any mishaps at this time. Wouldn't it be trouble for the experts if he entered the room and did

something pointless that made Grandmother's condition worse? Don’t worry. As soon as the experts

arrive, the procedure will begin. And I've already spoken to the liver donor coordinator. It won't take

them long to locate a suitable liver.”

“This…”

Zigmund started to hesitate.

James was a Solean doctor. His mother's illness, however, necessitated surgery.

He looked at James and asked, “Mister Caden, are…are you sure you can save her?”

James shook his head slightly and said, “I’m not. I can't know without first looking at the patient and

understanding body’s condition. But if I can’t save her, nobody else can.”

He was unsure of whether he could save her, but he was very confident in his medical skills.novelbin

“All right, then. You may try.” Zigmund nodded.

Between the two of them, he chose to believe James over Matthew.

“What’s going on?”

Dr. Wallace, the attending physician, strode over at this moment. After seeing them talking while

standing at the ward's doorway, he had to sternly reprimand them. “This is a hospital. You need to be

quiet. If you need to talk, go outside.”

“Dr. Wallace.” Matthew stepped forward and pointed at James. “This brat said that he’s a doctor and

wanted to go inside to look at the patient, so I was stopping him here.”

When Dr. Wallace heard that, he looked at James with knitted eyebrows and asked, “A doctor? From

which hospital?”

“You’re not yet qualified to know that,” James stated nonchalantly.

“Heh…”

Dr. Wallace immediately scoffed.
