James’ mood darkened further at her indifferent attitude. Soon after, he called Colt. “Notify the school.administration not to loosen the requirements because of Sophie’s status. If she wants to get in, she’llhave to pass the exams on her own.”
Colt listened to James’ slightly angry voice and was stunned. It seemed that Mr. Burke’s temper hadbeen quite bad lately, and it all seemed to be because of Mrs. Burke.
By noon, Nichole returned to the dormitory to find her roommates already waiting for her.
“Nichole, you’re finally back.” Krystal got off her bed anxiously and said, “Today, we saw that womangetting out of your boyfriend’s car. They were in there for quite a long time.”
“Yeah, Nichole, Krystal and I saw it with our own eyes. Who is that woman, exactly? Did you ask yourboyfriend? What did he say?”
