Nichole shook her head. “Not yet.”
Ada frowned and said, “What’s the matter? You can’t even handle something as simple as ordering?Never mind, I’ll do it.”

James gave a wry smile. “I thought you were jealous. It seems I was overthinking.”
Sophie had never previously troubled Nichole without reason. He had thought Sophie was acting out ofjealousy, but now it was clear that Sophie was stressing her status as Mrs. Burke, not out of jealousy.
But even just that was enough to please him.
James served Sophie some food, saying, “If one day you trouble her out of jealousy, I’d be very happy.”
Sophie didn’t respond. Her actions today were merely to show everyone that James had abandonedNichole.
