Chapter 20

Chapter 20Emma felt like ignoring Arianna, so she simply focused on having a taste of the coffee that she hadmade for her and Susanna. However, even though Emma was trying to steer away from trouble,Arianna clearly didn’t think the same. When Arianna saw how Emma had completely ignored her, she placed her arms on her waist whilestorming over to stand in front of Emma and Susanna’s table. “Hey! Did you turn deaf after goingabroad for one year?” Arianna was used to speaking as if she were a level above Emma, and she wasused to addressing Emma in a rude tone. She had completely forgotten how Emma wasn’t related toher at all after Emma’s divorce. In other words, Emma was no longer obligated to tolerate Arianna’sterrible temper.Emma sat firmly in her spot as she looked up and gazed at Arianna. “I do think I’ve changed, but itseems like you haven’t changed at all, Miss Bateson.” Emma shot a glare at Arianna’s arrogant face asshe enunciated clearly, “You’re still as despicable as always.” “You—” Arianna was used to Emmabeing quiet and patient around her, so she would’ve never expected Emma to attack and offend her insuch a manner.Furthermore, Emma had done it in front of all the people at the filming location. In short, Emma hadcompletely embarrassed her! Arianna’s face was twisted with fury, and she raised her hand to grab thecup of coffee and splash it in Emma’s face. If it were someone other than Emma who had offended her,Arianna might not have lost control of herself. However, Arianna was too used to bullying Emma, so she couldn’t bring herself to accept the suddenchange in Emma’s demeanor. This made Arianna especially furious. No one expected Arianna to lose her temper and splash coffee at someone else over such a smallmatter, so everyone froze in their spots for a short while. Emma instinctively dodged away from thecoffee, so only some of the coffee splashed on her fair arm. She managed to dodge most of it. It wassummertime, so Emma was dressed in a simple, short-sleeved white t-shirt.Her fair arm immediately turned red as the hot coffee had burned her skin. Susanna was the first tolose her cool. She hastily stood up and handed Emma some tissues before she pointed her finger in

Arianna’s direction. “Do you have a f*cking death wish?!” she cursed. Susanna used to be one of therebellious girls when she was in high school, but she changed for the better after she began acting.Right then, the rough and rebellious side of her seemed to have awakened in response to Arianna’shorrible behavior. Susanna had rolled her sleeves up and was about to give Arianna a tight slap acrossthe face when Emma reached her arm out to stop her. Even though Emma was the one who had beenstained with coffee, she felt calmer than everyone else there. She didn’t want Susanna to act out infront of such a huge crowd, especially since her friend was a famous celebrity. If anyone took a video of Susanna hitting someone, she was definitely going to suffer theconsequences of her actions. “It’s fine, Susanna.” Emma tried to calm the other woman down. Susannafelt like her insides were about to burst from all the rage she felt. “How can you say that it’s alright aftershe poured coffee all over you?!” Susanna shouted at the top of her lungs. “It’s alright.” Emma smiledat Susanna. “Because… I’m about to pour it back at her.” Once she finished her sentence, Emma liftedher cup of coffee and flung her arm out to splash the coffee all over Arianna. Emma was a little meanerthan Arianna—she had sent all of the hot coffee directly toward Arianna’s face.Arianna instantly let out a blood-curdling scream. Emma’s cup of coffee wasn’t as hot, so it wouldn’tburn Arianna’s skin. However, it was good enough to shame Arianna in front of everyone else.Embarrassing Arianna in public was one of the best ways to attack her.The woman loved nothing more than her face, after all. She had always been proud of herself. “EmmaYates, you b*tch! How dare you pour coffee in my face! I’m going to kill you!” Arianna’s loud screamsfilled the whole filming set, and she marched toward Emma while wiping the coffee stains off of herface. “What’s going on here?” Right then, a man’s harsh and stern voice came from behind them. Itseemed that Trevor, Eleanor, and the director of the series had made their way over to them.novelbin
