Chapter 183

Chapter 183

It was obvious that Trevor had guessed Emma's reaction long ago, and he was very satisfied with it.

Didn't she always want to draw a line with him and stay away from him? Now, the house Wilson gaveher was actually next to his.

Trevor suppressed a smile and continued, "I hope we'll be great neighbors in the future."

The property in Sky Bay was developed by Bateson Group, so he had naturally kept a villa for himself.

He and Emma had been living in their marriage house since they got married. Yesterday, he wasshocked when he heard that Emma had been given a house in Building 28. After asking the property'smanagement, he found out that Emma moved in yesterday afternoon. Hence, he also asked themoving company to move his stuff overnight.

Emma finally regained her senses. She asked Trevor in disbelief, "How can you live next door socoincidentally?"

"Don't worry, I certainly didn't buy it yesterday. It would've been too late, wouldn't it?" Trevor saidtruthfully. "To be honest, I already own some real estate here. It's the one next door."

When he saw Emma's annoyed expression, Trevor said slowly, "It must be a special fate for us tobecome neighbors."

His words were clearly provoking her, so Emma simply closed the door to keep him out.

What kind of special fate was that? It was simply a bad fate!

Emma originally liked this house very much, but now that Trevor was her neighbor, all her joy of movingto a new house was gone. If she knew this was the case, she wouldn't have moved at all. novelbin

Initially, she lived in an ordinary old apartment, whereas Trevor lived in a luxury villa by the sea. Thetwo were far away, and he would have to drive for half an hour to visit her.

Now, he could meet her as soon as he came out of the house; to find her would take him but a fewsteps.

As soon as Emma returned home, she received a message from Trevor on her phone that read, 'Let'shave dinner together tonight and celebrate us both for moving into new homes.'

He was clearly making fun of her, so she gritted her teeth and replied, 'I'm sorry, but I don't have time.'

She had been thinking of asking Susanna and Cerys to come over for dinner at night to celebrate hermoving into a new home, but she was not in the mood to celebrate anymore. In fact, she wanted tomove out!

After weakly throwing herself onto the bed, Emma held the phone and complained to Susanna that sheand Trevor had become neighbors.

Susanna laughed over the phone. "My God, what kind of special fate is this between the two of you?!"

She then said to Emma sternly, "Emma, I think you should make up with Trevor. Look at how Mr. Youngand his wife spent so much time picking out a house for you, yet they sent you to live next door toTrevor. I'm speechless myself. This is fate!"

Emma felt a headache coming on. "What's the matter with you? When did you become sosuperstitious? He's just a neighbor, and he can't do anything to me."

When Susanna spoke about reconciling with Trevor, Emma suddenly calmed down.

They merely became neighbors, so why was she upset about that?

Just as Emma's voice fell, she suddenly heard a sound from outside the balcony as if someone wascalling her.

She went out and saw that it was Trevor calling her from the balcony next door.

Emma almost fainted when she saw the distance between them.

Since it was a semi-detached villa, the balconies of the two bedrooms were very close with a distanceof only two or three meters.

The woman had fantasized about being able to sit on the balcony at night to watch the moon andadmire it, but her hopes were all in vain right now. She imagined sitting on the balcony, only to turn herhead and catch sight of Trevor next door. Would she still be in the mood to admire the moon?

Emma asked him angrily, "What are you doing?"

Trevor put his hands on the railing of the balcony and said casually, "Nothing. I just wanted to see if youcan hear me calling you."

After he finished speaking, he said seriously, "In the future, we don't need to communicate by phoneanymore. We can just come to the balcony to talk to each other."

Trevor's thought at this moment was that he could finally stop being afraid of being blocked by her.

"You're crazy." Emma then took the phone and turned back to the house.

She and Susanna hadn't hung up on the phone, so the woman heard everything they were talkingabout. The latter couldn't help but burst into laughter. "At this moment, I really want to run to Trevor andsay, "Every dog has his day too!"

"You must not," Emma advised Susanna to be rational. "After all, he is a tycoon in the film andtelevision industry, so don't offend him."

"Okay." Susanna sighed. "For the sake of my money, I should calm down."

After ending the call with Susanna, Emma suddenly remembered something very important andhurriedly called Trevor's number.

However, Trevor hung up the call and texted her back, 'We are so close to each other, so if you havesomething to tell me, come to my house and say it. There is no need to call me."

Emma was speechless.

Is he doing it on purpose? I don't want to go to his house at all, okay?

However, Emma was in a hurry to talk about it, so she put on a coat and changed her shoes to go outnext door.

When the door opened, Trevor came out wearing nothing but a towel tied around his waist. Emma wasangry and annoyed, so she quickly closed her eyes.

He is really shameless.

Trevor explained innocently, "I just took off my clothes to take a shower."

Emma would never believe his words!

She looked away and hurriedly said, "I hope you can keep it a secret from Mr. Young about the fact thatwe are neighbors."

Emma instinctively felt that Trevor would deliberately reveal this matter in front of Wilson to make himangry.

Of course, she didn't want Wilson to be angry since he had a lot of bad opinions about Trevor. If Wilsonknew that the house he had chosen was next to Trevor's, he would definitely feel remorseful.

Emma didn't want Wilson to have such negative emotions, so she hurried over and asked Trevor tokeep it a secret.

After Emma finished speaking, Trevor was silent for a while before he said in dissatisfaction, "Emma, is

this your attitude when asking others to do things?"

"What's the matter?" Emma raised her eyes to look at him, but she looked away again.

There was a certain height difference between the two of them. When Emma looked up, the first thingshe saw was the man's strong chest. Thus, she had to look away.

Trevor said, "Your gaze is avoidant, and you're not looking at me at all. How can I feel your sincerity?"

Emma was furious.

If he was neatly dressed, she would've definitely looked at him. He was clearly forcing her to look at hisnaked figure!

Annoyed, she gave up, took a step back, and crossed her arms. Then, her eyes swept across Trevor'sbody as she said, "Mr. Bateson, you are in good shape. Do you have all your abs? Let me count…"

He's being a hooligan, right? In that case, I'll do it too. Let's see who can't stand it first.

After ending the call with Susanna, Emma suddenly remembered something very important andhurriedly called Trevor's number.
