"How do you know these are not yours? They are all in our house, and you are the only child athome. If it isn't for you, could it be for me or your mommy?"

Vera thought about it and decided to say, "We just came back from a whole day out. Plus, we ateoutside. We must stink. I will take you back to your room to clean up. Once you're all nice andclean, then we can go see your daddy, okay?"

Vera took him upstairs, covered his ears and walked to the other side. After finally getting him intothe bathroom, Vera breathed a sigh of relief.

She knew that interrupting others was not a good thing, but after all, Beanie was here. Hence, shefinally forced herself to close her own room door and walked over to Minerva's door.
