The sound was getting farther and farther away, until it became inaudible.

Maddox had carried Minerva all the way to the car and placed her in the passenger seat.

Minerva cursed him angrily in her heart. She gritted her teeth and thought to herself, "I can't just lethim do whatever he wants."

As soon as the car stopped in the parking lot, Minerva opened the door almost immediately andrushed out.

She took off barefooted.

Minerva was quite tall and could run fast.

Minerva just kept quiet.

"If I want to do something to you, I can do it now."

"I didn't mean that," Minerva explained. She just didn't want him to know. After all, this house wasnot owned by her alone.

"Then do it."

After thinking for a while, Minerva said, "Close your eyes or turn around."

He did not move and stared coldly at her. Just like that, Minerva looked into his eyes and did notpress the password.

Finally, Maddox sighed. "Fine. I give up."

He then closed his eyes with a helpless expression on his face.

Minerva felt a little guilty when she saw him like this. However, there was nothing she could do. Inorder to keep Beanie away from Maddox, she had better be careful.

As she thought of this, Minerva quickly pressed the password and then unlocked the door.

After the door opened, Maddox let go of her and said, "Okay, go in."

Minerva was surprised that he did not come in with her.

"Stay at home and don't go out. I still have something to do so I can't accompany you."

Minerva looked up at him and replied, "You should get your things done. I'm not a child. I don't needyour company."
