Kimberly was thinking about Vera. She hadn't shown up for so many days, and she was surelyanxious about her whereabouts. Therefore, she had to tell Vera that she was safe and sound, notforgetting that she had a lot of secrets to tell her. "No." Maddox declined her at once.

Kimberly tilted her head and stared at his red ears. She pretended to be innocent, querying, "Whyare your ears red?" Maddox gritted his teeth and glared at her. "Stupid woman, did you do it onpurpose?"
"What did you mean by 'do it on purpose1?"
Maddox sneered and suddenly pinched her chin. "Are you still pretending? Looks like... you'regetting too bored, is it?"
After getting along well with him for a couple of days, Kimberly became bolder to make a requestfrom him. She pouted her lips. "I'm just asking."
"Is that so?" Maddox inched close to her. "Are you sure you're just asking? Do you have any otherintentions?"
Kimberly instantly hugged his arm. "Give my phone back to me. I want to contact Vera. She mightbe very worried about me."
"Just to contact Vera?" Maddox narrowed his eyes. "No one else?"
"If you're talking about your brother, I would certainly not contact him," Kimberly blurted out to stopMaddox from guessing. "Why are you being like this? Obviously, you are just jealous, that's why youtook my phone. And yet you still don't want to admit it. Fine, give me my phone back."
After that, Kimberly reached out to search in Maddox's suit pocket. Maddox frowned and held herwrist. He said in a hoarse voice, "Stop touching
