Sam widened his eyes, "Go back? Are we not going in?"
"No."
Kimberly lowered her eyelids and stared at her toes, muttering, "Let's go."

Before Sam could persuade her, Kimberly stood up and walked in the opposite direction. Sam frozefor a few seconds before turning around to catch up to her.
He asked, "What's the matter? I thought we agreed to have lunch together."
No matter how Sam tried to talk to her, Kimberly kept ignoring him. After walking behind her forwhat seemed like ages, Sam rushed forward and blocked her path. "We've come all this way. If weleave right away..."
"Didn't you see that?" Kimberly raised her head and looked at him coldly.
Her indifferent gaze stunned Sam. He asked blankly, "See what?"
There was a hint of bitterness in Kimberly's eyes. She lowered her eyes and continued, "Theydeserve to have their lunch in peace. Why should we disturb them? Let's mind our own business."
Sam did not expect to hear that from Kimberly. He frowned slightly and said, "You can't say that.Why do they deserve their alone time? You have seen it with your own eyes. Sylvia bears badintentions. How could you just leave..."
Kimberly cut him off, "You've been talking bad about Sylvia. Even if it is true that Sylvia is planningto seduce Maddox, what about him? Why didn't he refuse her advances? Why is he spending time
with her? Who am I to make a decision for him?"

After standing still for a while, Kimberly took the elevator back to her office.
What she didn't know was that people were talking about her behind her back.

Sylvia returned with Maddox after their lunch. After saying her goodbyes, she went to the parkinglot. When she was about to open her car door, someone slammed her door shut. Shocked, sheturned to look at who it was.
"You wicked woman!" It was Vera, from the finance department.
