Chapter 4056

he more Lourain thought about it, the angrier he got.

He could not stop himself from taking a step forward. "What? Who do you think you are to talk aboutanother's worth? If you want to talk about that, then in front of my friend here, you're nothing!"

Lourain's anger soared, surging through his entire body.

He had quite a bit of past conflict with Keller and Burke. Even before entering the Whirling World, theywere regularly in conflict.

Each time they encountered each other, there would be an argument on the spot. There was no wayLourain could stand the two of them hurling insults at him like that!

At that moment, all he could do was use Jack to help himself. He was weaker than those two, but Jackwas over a hundred times stronger!

Jack let out a helpless smile. He knew how angry Lourain was at that moment, so he did not want to betoo petty. He would let Lourain use him for leverage.

Keller raised an eyebrow as he looked at the man next to Lourain who had been silent for the wholetime.

Jack looked quite unassuming and did not seem to be holding anything back. He seemed like his skillswere only around Lourain's level. There was nothing impressive about him.

Keller pointed at Jack, "Is he that friend you were referring to?"novelbin

Lourain nodded proudly. Jack was obviously the person he was referring to.

Keller and Burke both measured Jack up and failed to see anything special about him at all.

Internally, they wondered if Lourain was trying to pull one over them. He was no match for them, so hetried to use someone else to salvage his dignity.

Burke laughed and said, "Him? He's clearly just around your level. Stop trying to scare us!"

Lourain looked at Burke disdainfully. "That's just because you're an ignorant fool. The two of you shouldbe feeling thankful that this is a restricted area. If we actually fought, even four of you wouldn't beenough to face him!"

Vaughn was completely stunned as he listened. He started to measure that warrior who seemed closeto Lourain as well.

Those two had been annoying them the whole time, so Lourain had not managed to tell Vaughnanything about that man. He merely gave a brief introduction.

With what Lourain was saying, that man called North Woods seemed to be very strong. He wasprobably in the top ten among above average warriors!

If that person really was that strong, then it would be fantastic!

Burke said disdainfully, "Stop trying to brag so much! You speak like he's in the top ten among aboveaverage warriors! If he's really that skilled, then how could he possibly have any dealings with you? With your skills, you wouldn't be able to catch his eye at all! You sure are good at bragging. However, don't assume that everyone else is stupid enough to believe everything you say!"

Vaughn raised an eyebrow. Even though he hated Burke a lot, he had to admit that Burke made sense.

If that person really was an above average warrior who was in the top ten in rankings, then there wasno way he would be Lourain's friend.

Looking at the two of them, it was obvious that they were quite close.

Vaughn could not help but have some questions in his heart.

Lourain scoffed, "What do you know..."

He was just about to continue arguing when Jack reached out to stop him.

He shot a look at two Black Paths that had just been emptied and said calmly, "It's not like we can fighthere. There's no point in arguing..."

There was no point in wasting time on those people.

Lourain nodded and spoke a few words with Vaughn before he stopped speaking. He rolled his eyes atKeller and Burke before following Jack onto the Black Path.

They needed to focus on what was important. There was no point in arguing with those two.

Following what was already decided, Lourain chose the second difficulty.

Jack stopped for a moment and injected energy into the ninth crystal.

When others saw that, there was suddenly a huge commotion.
