Jack slowly turned to face Adler. Lourain was quietly standing below the Path of Fate, looking up ateverything that was happening.
Everyone else thought that Jack was acting too arrogantly with what he said earlier, but Lourain couldtell that Jack had other plans.
Jack was not someone who would let a bit of achievement get to his head. He would never have saidthat if he did not have a reason to.
Jack definitely had a goal in doing what he did.
When Adler stepped on the starting point, Lourain immediately understood that Jack had been trying toprovoke Blant so that he would have his subordinates join the challenge.
In truth, Jack was making a gamble as well. He did not know if the ones around Blant had joined thechallenge before. If all of them had already attempted the challenge, then he would have done all ofthat in vain.
Seeing this, Adler narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at the other party with a vicious glint.
That expression seemed to be telling everyone that he would completely rip Jack to shreds.
Jack remained completely calm even when faced with an expression like that. It was as if the personstanding at the starting point was not his opponent, but an ant that he could kill at any moment. He didnot feel threatened by the opponent at all.
Jack's expression was too calm, and that angered Adler.
Adler scoffed, "Brat, try to keep up with that act of yours! Did you think that all of us have joined thechallenge, and no one's around to teach you that lesson?! Is that why you were acting so arrogantly?
However, you've miscalculated. I just entered this place a little bit earlier than you did, and Ihaven't hadthe chance to join the challenge!"

Someone even shouted out, "Hey, you there. You need to be careful. Adler is stronger than Lionel.Lionel's nothing special amongst warriors that are above average, but Adler ranks in the top ten amongthose warriors. Lionel wouldn't be able to take three blows from him!"
Jack raised an eyebrow. So, this guy was called Adler. Adler was slightly stronger than Jack expected ifhe was ranked in the top ten. It seemed like Adler did not dare to act like he was better than Blant andhad always stood behind him.
It was obvious that Blant was stronger than Adler and was probably in the top five. No wondereveryone was so afraid of Blant.
With skills like that, Blant definitely had the right to act arrogantly in front of everything else.
Adler had thought that Jack would show some fear on his face after hearing how strong he was. Even ifJack was forcing himself to act calm, there should have been some fluctuations in Jack's demeanorwhen he revealed his skills.

He scoffed as he said coldly, "You're still trying to put on an act? Even if you act like you're so calm, itwon't change your fate. You'll end up even worse than Lionel. That's the consequence of challengingus!"
Jack turned around and looked at Blant calmly before he looked at Adler again.
He sighed, "What a pity. If only you hadn't attempted the challenge and were the one standing hereinstead. That would've been so much better."
