Chapter 3708

That was the most reliable plan. Jack could not trust Lourain at all.

He saw through Lourain's personality, and he would surely spill everything to the world when given thechance, which would no doubt garner much attention.

Jack was not afraid, but he did not want too much trouble either. It was better to keep him around.

Marth's eyes widened as he said in a hoarse voice, "Jack! If one person is following you, you might aswell have two. Why don't I stay with you as well? After all, Violet City is a level-two city. You are readingon virtual novel dot com. If I'm not careful, I might run into danger. Staying by your side will make thingsa lot safer. Don't worry, I won't trouble you!"

Jack raised an eyebrow as he looked at Marth meaningfully.

After thinking about it, Jack nodded. After all, they were not in Chaos City.

They needed to follow the rules' for all the challenges. As long as the two of them did not participate, they would not be able to drag him down. Since that was the case, Marth could follow them if hewanted to.

Lourain sighed helplessly, not daring to say anything else. After all, this was basically a chance for him.

If he insisted on going against that, Jack might decide to kill him. He needed to act more obediently sothey would let down their guard around him. Once the Vibrant Hall was opened, he would be free.

The three of them reached an agreement, and started to discuss where they needed to go next. Jackfrowned before he took out a badge from Mustard Seed.

The badge was made of gold, free from writings, patterns, or carvings. If one ignored the material, thenit was just a piece of metal the size of a palm.

That had been Jack's reward for completing the golden difficulty.

The rewards were not just the badge but three expensive things as well. There was a pill and twodifferent materials, the Three Springs Pill, the Poisonous Heart Fruit, and the Dragonscale Grass. All ofthem were worth no less than 40 million.

The higher the level of the city, the more valuable the rewards. Before entering the Whirling World,Jack had set a goal to earn at least 900 million spirit crystals.novelbin

At the time, he thought that it was a distant amount, that he would need a long time to reach that goal.

However, it had not even been a year, and Jack was rapidly reaching his goal. If he sold everything hecould and added up everything he had, he should have at least 500 or 600 million.

Jack had not gone into detail with the calculations, but that was definitely the minimum.

Just thinking about that made Jack smile.

He still had a year left until the Whirling World closed. As long as he worked hard, it would not be aproblem for him to accumulate 900 million spirit crystals. Then, he would be able to get ninth- gradecrystals and aim for Wild Gorge Pass.

Jack touched the badge in his hand. The other materials were not cheap, but Jack was sure that themost valuable thing was the badge in his hand. However, that old voice did not appear again after hegot his reward, so he was never told what the badge was for.

Jack carefully looked at the badge. It looked ordinary like it was just a common piece of metal. Nothingelse seemed special about it at all.

Marth looked at the badge in Jack's hand as well.

After a moment, he scratched his nose and coughed lightly, saying carefully, "This badge must have aspecial function, but we'll probably need to wait for the right time to use it. Jack, why don't we decide onwhere we need to go first?"

If Jack continued to try to look at the gold badge, he would probably not be able to find out for a longtime. Marth looked at the warriors that were anxiously walking around, and he felt a mixture ofexcitement and nervousness as well.
