Chapter 419

He set Sasha down, his towering frame pressing her against the wall. A devilish grin spread acrosshis face as he slowly dipped his head, pointing to his mouth with a playful tilt of his lips and said,“Looking for revenge, huh? Well, here’s your chance. Bite me back.”

Then, he brought his lips tantalizingly close to Sasha’s. The heady scent of his masculinity struckstraight to Sasha’s core. She was usually so careless, but her heart was pounding inexplicably fastright now.

She pounded on Chase’s chest with force. “Chase, you shameless jerk!”

When he watched her fuming, and recalled the softness of her lips from a previous encounter,Chase’s Adam’s apple bobbed as he swallowed hard. His voice came out husky, “Right now, all Iwant is —”

Before he could finish, Sasha clamped her hand over his mouth. Her eyes blazed with anger as sheglared at him. “Chase, if finish that sentence, believe me, I’ll take you down!”

As she spoke, her knee shot up toward Chase’s groin. But he was prepared for her moves andquickly dodged backward. His grin grew more playfyul. “Sasha, blushing, are you? Don’t tell meyou’ve actually fallen for me. If that’s the case, I suppose I could suffer the burden and take you in,let you be my pampered wife.”

Her anger hit the roof at his words. When Chase sidestepped her assault, she headbutted him infrustration, connecting squarely with his nose. Instantly, the metallic tang of blood filled the air.

Chase let go of her to clutch his bleeding nose. “Sasha, are you trying to kill me?”

Although angry, Sasha hadn’t intended to draw blood. She was momentarily flustered. She quicklydug out a tissue from her pocket to help him dab at the blood, but the bleeding seemed endless.

The crimson stain was growing despite her efforts. Now Sasha was truly scared.

Her voice shook as she spoke, “Chase, you’re a doctor. Tell me how to stop the bleeding.”

Chase’s eyes were watering from the pain as he pinched his nose and managed to say, “Beg me,and maybe I’ll tell you.”

“Chase, this is no time for jokes! If you don’t stop the bleeding, you’ll bleed out, and it won’t be myfault.”

“Why wouldn’t it be your fault? This is assault. Beg me, and I’ll tell you.”

As the blood flowed, Sasha’s desperation grew. Reluctantly, she caved. “Chase, please, tell me howto stop the bleeding. Happy now?”

A gleam of amusement shone in Chase’s eyes. “I’ll tell you, but on one condition.”

“Fine, whatever it is, I agree. Just hurry up!” Sasha stamped her foot in urgency. Blood was hergreatest fear. If Chase didn’t pass out, she might faint first.

Chase decided to ease up. “We haven’t finished our one-month deal. I want to continue.”

Sasha rejected it without a second thought, “No way. Anything but that.”

Chase stood his ground. “Then I want nothing else.”

Sasha gritted her teeth in frustration. After losing a bet, she had agreed to be Chase’s maid for amonth. That deal had only lasted three days before she heard Chase turn down his grandfather’soffer and then she kicked him out without a second thought. Now he wanted to continue their deal, and there was no way she would agree.novelbin

As she hesitated, Chase suddenly staggered backward. His vision darkened as he crashed againstthe wall.

In a panic, Sasha blurted out, “Fine, I agree!”
