Failing to notice Sophia and Matilda, William followed John into the restaurant. In a puzzled manner, heasked, “Why do we have to come all the way here to have lunch?”

When John was seated, he started ordering food. Without looking at Matilda, William questioned, “Youknow your mom is here?”

The look on Matilda’s face made Sophia laugh. It seems that I don’t have to do anything now. Uponfinishing her food, Sophia rose from her chair. “I’m done. The two of you, please continue chatting. Thisis my first time here, so I wanna look around.”
Without reading too much into it, Richard nodded. “Alright. Be careful.”
Chuckling, Sophia turned to leave. When she passed by John, she clapped his shoulder, which madehim giggle.
