Under those circumstances, Cindy just wanted to get some shuteye, but Ian didn't feel the same, failingto fall asleep. After waiting for a bit, he asked, "How's your work? Is everything going well?"
Noticing the woman's silence, he looked down and realized she was asleep in his arms. He smiled andgently stroked her back. Then, he hugged her tighter and kissed her cheek.
Following that, he decided to turn off the lights and get some rest. He was worn out after the intimatesession.
Cindy woke up the next morning famished. She was in a hurry during dinner the day before, so shedidn't eat much. Moreover, Ian was energetic in bed, so she consumed more energy than the foodcould provide.
Feeling weak all over her body, she nuzzled Ian and said in a shaky voice, "I'm thirsty."
Ian woke up in a groggy state, and it took him a while to come to his senses. He got out of bed nakedand took a bottle of water for Cindy. After a moment of hesitation, he also brought her the breadprovided in the room.
Cindy sat up on the bed with difficulty. When she saw the things in Ian's hands, she smiled helplessly."It's all your fault."
Understanding what she meant, Ian nodded. "Yes, it's all my fault. Eat some food first."
Since there were instant noodles in the room, he boiled some water and prepared the food for thewoman. After having bread and water, Cindy felt more comfortable. As she leaned against the
headboard and looked at Ian, she felt somewhat bashful.
It was her first time feeling frail after a fun night. She was drained of all her energy. When Ian broughther the instant noodles, Cindy was no longer hungry. She drank a bit of soup and said, "Help yourself.I'll wait until breakfast."
Ian then sat on the bed and finished the noodles. In truth, he was hungry too.
He couldn't concentrate on having dinner the day before. Since Cindy was there, he just wanted to goback to his room with her sooner. As such, he only ate a little.
Influenced by the man, Cindy didn't have much food either. As such, she ended up strengthless. Afterhaving some food, both of them lay on the bed as their energy was slowly restored.
With a smile, Ian pulled her into his embrace and asked, "Why did you come here?"
After letting out a breath, Cindy draped her arms around his waist and pressed her face against hischest. "I missed you."
Ian curled his lips. "We've been busy shooting the film, and it'll end pretty soon. After we finishshooting, the contract will be due as well."
Hearing his words, Cindy thought of something else. His agency had asked them to take part in avariety show where all the participants were couples. She remembered Ian bringing that up to herbefore, and she wondered if they were going to participate in it.
Faced with the question, Ian replied with a smile, "They discussed it with me before and wanted me tonovelbin
take part in the show. However, when I looked at the show's schedule, I realized that I'd have to finishthis film before going there to join the show. My contract with the agency will have expired by then. I'mworried that there might be some complications, so I haven't agreed to it yet."
Those from his agency had their considerations. Therefore, when Ian expressed his hesitation, Hannahplayed along by putting off the matter and never brought it up again.
Ian felt that the agency was trying to use the show to figure out his intentions. They would startshooting the show just as Ian's contract was about to expire. Since he didn't want to accept the job, hisagency should understand his decision.
Cindy didn't want to be featured in a variety show either. She loved being an ordinary person whoclocked in and out of work every day.
Knowing what was on her mind, Ian hugged her tighter and said, "Don't worry. When the contractexpires, I'll have plenty of time to be with you."
