Chapter 2132

The figure in a cap and black outfit quickly escaped after knocking on Ian's hotel room door before theyreturned in a bit again. From the looks of it, the figure seemed like a man.

At this moment, Ian returned to the room to give the hotel reception a call and explained his situationwhile the receptionist assured him that they would immediately send some security guards over. novelbin

With that, Ian returned to the door and leaned against it before talking to Cindy quietly.

Soon enough, he saw security guards coming over to subdue the man in front of his door.

Later on, a security guard came by and knocked on Ian's door to ask him more about the situation.Despite that, Ian didn't open his door and only confirmed what happened from the other side of thedoor.

The security guards eventually brought the man away.

After the commotion outside ended, Ian said to Cindy, "Alright, the man has finally left."

When she heard that, Cindy asked curiously, "Did you see what he looked like?"

Although he didn't get to see the man's face clearly, he figured that the receptionist would give himfeedback on what happened later on, and he would find out about the man's identity sooner or later.

Nonetheless, Cindy was still worried. She reminded Ian to be cautious and even told him to investigatethe man to see if they had any encounters before.

As the saying went, it was easier to stay guarded against a gentleman, but it was hard to stay guardedagainst a villain. She was afraid that some people would attempt to seize the opportunity to hurt Iansince he had many shows to attend and was currently shooting for a drama as well.

Naturally, Ian understood Cindy's concern. He smiled before assuring her, "It's fine. Don't worry, nothingwill happen. I'll ask the receptionist about it later."

When he checked the time and realized that it was already late, he quickly urged her to head to sleep.

Nevertheless, Cindy mumbled, "I'm completely awake now."

Ian smiled helplessly in response. "Well, that's unfortunate because I'm tired now."

Right then, Cindy hung up on him and started cursing him angrily. How dare this man go to sleep afterwaking me up!

After that, she sat up and took her phone before scrolling through the online tabloids.

The man's scandal wasn't trending anymore, and she couldn't help but wonder whether this was thedoing of Ian's company.

Although the man was Aurora's previous partner, the two of them had lived their own lives separately. However, now that something had happened on the man's end, he went back to Aurora and brought upthe fact that they were once in a relationship to seek her help.

Cindy continued reading up more about the man. While the man was still trying to sadfish for publicsympathy, the comment section of those articles started returning to normal as it wasn't just people

demanding for Aurora to take responsibility for everything. Instead, people were starting to call the manout for guilt-tripping her.

When she saw that, Cindy sighed in relief as there were still people who had the same sentiments asthem, which proved that their thoughts were a normal reaction rather than them being cold-blooded anddoing nothing to help the man out.

After going through all the articles, she posted a status on Facebook along with a random picture shefound online and captioned it by saying that she couldn't sleep.

Following that, she placed her phone down and went out to drink some water. When she got back intoher bed and was about to sleep, she checked her phone and saw that someone had commented onher post.

Initially, she thought that it was her friends, so she didn't really care about it.

However, when she opened the post, she noticed that it was a comment from Gary.

'Why can't you fall asleep?'

Cindy sighed before she smacked her lips together as she didn't know how to respond.

At that moment, she had a sudden thought to unfriend him on Facebook, but she knew that her actionwould surely incite suspicion.

Yet, she couldn't really explain the entire story of why she couldn't sleep to Gary because of hiscomment, and she didn't know what to say if she were to simply reply to him.

Still, it would be rude not to respond.
