Cindy was quite glad to hear Ian say that. Once Aurora had an agency, she would have some backingas well.

Cindy said, "That seems nice. Aurora's work in the future would be assured, and you might even getmore chances to work with her too."

Cindy didn't think too much about it, whereas Ian asked Cindy what she was doing.
The woman then told him briefly about her sketches.
Ian didn't have too much free time, so they could only chat for so long before someone called Ian,telling him that the filming was about to start.
They ended the call and Cindy flopped on the bed, her pen still in her hand.
She held the pen up to look at it. Humans never know satisfaction, she realized. Every time shethought about how difficult it was for her to meet Ian, she would feel like crying.
However, the more she thought about it, she noticed that their days had vastly improved from what theyonce were.
To be more precise, her days had gotten better. She didn't have to worry about money anymore, andshe could do the things she had always wanted to do at the very least.
For example, the pen in her hand allowed her the opportunity to draw the things she wanted to draw.
This was something she never even dared to imagine before. As such, humans needed to learn toappreciate what they had.
Meanwhile, Ian tidied his makeup, hair, and outfit before he walked over to stand in front of Valerie.
Valerie was obviously in a bad condition, and even her heavy makeup couldn't conceal that.
They had been redoing the scene a few times, and the director even pulled Valerie aside to have aword with her. Ian didn't know what they had talked about, but judging by Valerie's behavior, thedirector's advice wasn't really working either.
The two repeated the scene once again, but the director still stopped them halfway through since hewasn't satisfied.
Ian could see that Valerie was getting anxious as well. She was a talented actress, so the continuousretakes were making her feel defeated.
The director was at a loss, and he suggested they film the next scene first.
In the end, the next scene was still a no-go. With Valerie's condition like that, her expression in everyscene was severely lacking.
The director didn't dare to reprimand Valerie too much either. She was too popular and important totheir advertising, so the director didn't dare to offend her too much despite his backing.

Ian looked up at Valerie and asked her, "What's going on? You don't seem to be performing well thesedays."

The driver was like a spy which Cindy had placed there. When he saw Ian and Valerie getting closer,he hastily walked over to them and passed a towel and some water to Ian.
However, Ian knew that the driver was keeping an eye on his and Valerie's every action.
To be honest, with so many people present, what could they do in front of so many eyes?
The two seated themselves before Ian asked, "There has been some news about you circulatingonline. Are they true? Have you been affected by them?"
Valerie pursed her lips and hesitated for a while before nodding.
Perhaps because Ian had saved her before and gotten hurt in the process, Valerie felt an instinctivesense of trust toward him. This time, she came clean to Ian right away.
