When he heard that, John sighed. "Being my ideal type does not guarantee that she was the one forme. It was just that I prefer someone quiet and compliant, which coincidentally, she was, and you werenot."
But, to save his life, he quickly continued while placing his hand on Sophia's shoulders, "But look, Ioverturned my ideal type just for you."
"I like whatever type you are now. Aren't my feelings for you obvious enough?" John added.
But Sophia was persistent. "That doesn't prove that there was nothing between the both of you. Shewas interested in you, and vice versa too."
Hearing that they were mentioning Isabelle, Logan joined the conversation. "How is she now? I almostforgot about this person. She was always annoying. She's lucky to be a woman because if it'sotherwise, I would have laid my hands on her."
There had been no recent news about her. It was as if she had vanished from the world after leavingthis place.
After a brief moment of thought, Sophia said, "She previously gave John a call, but I can't rememberhow long ago that was. What I remembered was that she appeared to be in trouble and was in need ofJohn's help."
Then, she turned and looked at John. "That happened, right? But then again, you were the first personshe thought of when she was in trouble. This means that she regarded you as someone important."
Helplessly, John shook his head. "I've not been in contact with her since who-knows-when, butwhenever her name was mentioned, you kept circling back to this. Why don't you believe me when Isay that there was nothing between us?"
Cindy had also seen Isabelle in the news, where it was reported that she was involved with John.

John had no idea what to reply. Smilingly, he poked her face with his hand, saying, "You're so petty."
That matter happened a very long time ago. John believed that things between Isabelle and him wereover when he re-courted Sophia, but Sophia was still nagging about it until now.
Sophia pursed her lips and straightened her neck in response to what John said. Obviously, she wasn't
going to let this go so easily.
Within the next few seconds, she let out a humming sound and warned John in a deep voice, "Beprepared that I'll nag on this for the rest of your life."
