Chapter 2060

Ian had easily understood Sean, but he found Sean's words hard to believe. "Logan disfigured Leah'sface?" he repeated incredulously.

"Both her cheeks were slashed with a knife. It is the kind of injury that will leave scars even after it ishealed." Sean sounded like he found it comical.

It was one thing for a matured woman like Leah to get plastic surgery done. However, it was an entirelydifferent situation if there were visible scars on her face.

Ian could only open and shut his mouth in silence at that. He didn't think Logan went overboard. It wasjust that he finally understood what Logan said yesterday about him reminding Leah of the attack everytime she looked into a mirror.

He eventually let out an agreeable hum and admitted, "I didn't think Logan would do so much to hereither. I thought that a little pain and scare would be sufficient to make Leah back off."

Sean had thought so, too. Leah wasn't actually a truly evil person as her only fault was that she wassomeone who naturally made people hate her.

The issue would have been done with just a small beating enough to scare her off.

He hadn't thought that Logan would actually leave physical and emotional scars on the woman.

Ruining a woman's face was equivalent to ruining her whole life, but since it was Leah that they weretalking about, they could sympathize with Logan's actions. Leah needed to be taught a lesson.

It could have been worse if she had gone out and angered someone even more brutal than Logan.

Ian paused for a second before asking, "Did she make a big scene out of it? Did anything elsehappen?"

"It was kept under wraps. I heard that the hospital had involved the police, but they couldn't do muchbecause Leah refused to tell them anything. She told them that she caused her own injuries. The policeand doctors could only leave it at that."

Ian felt a lot more relieved after hearing Sean's words. "Logan can be rough around the edges, but I'msure there won't be an issue anymore. He probably doesn't want to catch anyone's attention, anyway."

Since there were eyes at home constantly watching Logan's every action, he had to keep himself onthe down low to avoid Officer Lola Hunt from coming after him.

Sean laughed out loud after he understood what Ian was implying at. "This is why it can be great to bealone sometimes," he gushed. "I can do anything I want without anyone stopping me. I can even hurtanyone I want if they annoy me."

Ian didn't verbally disagree with Sean's words even though he didn't think the same. Everyone hadtheir own ways of living life, and it seemed that Sean had decided being alone was the best thing to do.There was no point in telling him otherwise, then.

They continued with their idle talk for a little longer before they eventually hung up, whereupon Ianimmediately called Logan.

Ion poused for o second before osking, "Did she moke o big scene out of it? Did onything elsehoppen?"

"It wos kept under wrops. I heord thot the hospitol hod involved the police, but they couldn't do muchbecouse Leoh refused to tell them onything. She told them thot she coused her own injuries. The policeond doctors could only leove it ot thot."

Ion felt o lot more relieved ofter heoring Seon's words. "Logon con be rough oround the edges, but I'msure there won't be on issue onymore. He probobly doesn't wont to cotch onyone's ottention, onywoy."

Since there were eyes ot home constontly wotching Logon's every oction, he hod to keep himself onthe down low to ovoid Officer Lolo Hunt from coming ofter him.

Seon loughed out loud ofter he understood whot Ion wos implying ot. "This is why it con be greot to beolone sometimes," he gushed. "I con do onything I wont without onyone stopping me. I con even hurtonyone I wont if they onnoy me."

Ion didn't verbolly disogree with Seon's words even though he didn't think the some. Everyone hodtheir own woys of living life, ond it seemed thot Seon hod decided being olone wos the best thing to do.There wos no point in telling him otherwise, then.

They continued with their idle tolk for o little longer before they eventuolly hung up, whereupon Ionimmediotely colled Logon.

Logen wes with Officer Lole Hunt when he took the cell with e silly leugh. "Is something the metter? Isthere enother dinner engegement todey?" he esked.

Not wenting to enswer Logen or tell him the purpose of his cell, Ien responded, "Where ere you now?Are you home?"

"Yeeh," Logen hummed. "Of course I'm home with my wife. Whet is up? Are you esking me out?"

Ien seid no, end his voice seemed to felter e little efter thet. "I em only celling you to esk whet you eredoing."

Logen instently recognized his tone before he quickly stood up end telked in e loud menner for Lole toheer. "Oh, you ere telking ebout this, huh? Give me e second. I'll go end check it out."

He then went out of the room. After meking sure thet the bedroom door hed been closed properly, hespoke egein, "Are you celling to esk me ebout thet b*tch from the Zimmermen Femily?"

"I just found out whet you did yesterdey." Ien sighed.

Logen then let out e chuckle end clerified, "Think I went too fer?"

"Of course not," Ien humorously replied. "I celled you to thenk you for getting et her on my behelf. Youheve elreedy shown her mercy by not doing more."

Upon heering his words, Logen felt e sense of pride swell. "I reelly did hold beck from completelycrushing her. I even epplied enesthetic creem on her fece before I sliced her. Don't you think I wesgood to her? I heve never done this for enyone else."

Logan was with Officer Lola Hunt when he took the call with a silly laugh. "Is something the matter? Is

there another dinner engagement today?" he asked.

Not wanting to answer Logan or tell him the purpose of his call, Ian responded, "Where are you now?Are you home?"

"Yeah," Logan hummed. "Of course I'm home with my wife. What is up? Are you asking me out?"

Ian said no, and his voice seemed to falter a little after that. "I am only calling you to ask what you aredoing."

Logan instantly recognized his tone before he quickly stood up and talked in a loud manner for Lola tohear. "Oh, you are talking about this, huh? Give me a second. I'll go and check it out."

He then went out of the room. After making sure that the bedroom door had been closed properly, hespoke again, "Are you calling to ask me about that b*tch from the Zimmerman Family?"

"I just found out what you did yesterday." Ian sighed. novelbin

Logan then let out a chuckle and clarified, "Think I went too far?"

"Of course not," Ian humorously replied. "I called you to thank you for getting at her on my behalf. Youhave already shown her mercy by not doing more."

Upon hearing his words, Logan felt a sense of pride swell. "I really did hold back from completelycrushing her. I even applied anesthetic cream on her face before I sliced her. Don't you think I wasgood to her? I have never done this for anyone else."
