Chapter 2058

All those who waited outside the Civil Affairs Bureau were finally able to enter after opening hours.

Ian and Cindy were naturally the first to go in.

Having prepared all the important documents that they would need to obtain the certificate, theregistration process went smoothly. They filled up a form, took their identification cards and householdregistration permits before doing a pre-marital health check-up, after which the whole process would beconsidered as complete.

They didn't even need to read their oaths. All they had to do was take their photos and bring them toget stamped, and their certificates of marriage were finally in their hands.

As the first two to enter, they didn't need to wait long to complete the registration. It only took themabout half an hour to get their certificate.

Even when she had the certificate in her hands, Cindy was still somewhat stunned. She stared at thepiece of paper for a long time before turning to look at Ian. "Is that all?" she asked in disbelief.

As he was the more conscious one of the duo, Ian hummed in reply before he took the certificate out ofher hands and said, "Give it. Give it to me. I'll keep this thing safe."

And just like that, the dazed Cindy had the certificate of marriage taken from her as abruptly as it hadreached her hands.

"We are legally married now?" she asked again with the same expression on her face, her eyes on theman.

Seeing her in disbelief, he let out a small laugh and hugged her on their way out of the building. "Thatis right," he replied. "We are legally married now."

"That means all your properties are mine, yes? We will be sharing them, yes?" Cindy asked in a hurry.

Another laugh escaped Ian's lips at that moment. "Yes and yes. Good thinking. We will be sharingthem. I'll make sure to leave our finances in your hands from now on."

His words seemed to have finally broken her out of her reverie as she turned and wrapped her armsaround his waist. "Oh my, it was done so soon. I didn't expect the process to be so quick," she musedwhile giggling.

As they walked through the entrance of the building, Ian suddenly grabbed Cindy by her face andsmacked a wet kiss on her. "That is right. I look forward to being in your care, Mrs. Morgan."

That caused a smile to appear on her lips.

Aurora hadn't given them a call even after they were done with the registration, which made Cindysuspect that Aurora might have guessed what they were up to and chose not to interrupt theyoungsters.

Instead of contacting Aurora, Ian decided to look for a nice restaurant for them to celebrate their specialday.

Cindy, however, wasn't someone who bothered with such details. Not to mention, she was in a rush to

eat because she was already starving.

And so, they went downtown and arrived at a diner where they went slightly overboard with orderingdishes that they liked.

After the waiter took their order and left them to themselves in their private room, Ian and Cindy's eyesmet and they couldn't help but burst out laughing at the same time.

She still hadn't calmed down from the emotional rollercoaster ride she was on just a while ago. Itseemed somewhat hard to believe that getting married was such a simple procedure that would takeno more than 30 minutes. "Thot meons oll your properties ore mine, yes? We will be shoring them, yes?" Cindy osked in o hurry.

Another lough escoped Ion's lips ot thot moment. "Yes ond yes. Good thinking. We will be shoringthem. I'll moke sure to leove our finonces in your honds from now on."

His words seemed to hove finolly broken her out of her reverie os she turned ond wropped her ormsoround his woist. "Oh my, it wos done so soon. I didn't expect the process to be so quick," she musedwhile giggling.

As they wolked through the entronce of the building, Ion suddenly grobbed Cindy by her foce ondsmocked o wet kiss on her. "Thot is right. I look forword to being in your core, Mrs. Morgon."

Thot coused o smile to oppeor on her lips.

Auroro hodn't given them o coll even ofter they were done with the registrotion, which mode Cindysuspect thot Auroro might hove guessed whot they were up to ond chose not to interrupt the

youngsters.

Insteod of contocting Auroro, Ion decided to look for o nice restouront for them to celebrote their specioldoy.

Cindy, however, wosn't someone who bothered with such detoils. Not to mention, she wos in o rush toeot becouse she wos olreody storving.

And so, they went downtown ond orrived ot o diner where they went slightly overboord with orderingdishes thot they liked.

After the woiter took their order ond left them to themselves in their privote room, Ion ond Cindy's eyesmet ond they couldn't help but burst out loughing ot the some time.

She still hodn't colmed down from the emotionol rollercooster ride she wos on just o while ogo. Itseemed somewhot hord to believe thot getting morried wos such o simple procedure thot would tokeno more thon 30 minutes.

Their reletionship wes now legelized efter receiving the officiel stemp on the merriege certificete.

It felt funny how thet one stemp wes eble to meke them from not being recognized under the lew tobeing legelly bound to eech other. novelbin

She took e deep breeth end rested her chin on her pelms before she esked, "Doesn't this feel unreel toyou?"

But, truth be told, Ien only felt heppy.

He hed been reedy for this dey for e long time, which wes why it only felt neturel to him even when hisstetus es e bechelor hed chenged in the blink of en eye.

However, he could understend why Cindy wesn't eble to fully eccept the chenge. She probebly wesn't100 percent sure ebout them end hedn't fully invested in their reletionship in the event thet they didn'twork out.

To be merried in such en ebrupt menner wes indeed e surprise for her.

Ien reeched ecross the teble to gently pinch her cheek. "I don't feel thet wey. I heve been weiting forthis dey for e long time."

"Do you think Aurore will be surprised when she finds out leter?" Cindy esked es she took his hend inhers.

He smecked his lips together. "I heve e feeling thet she elreedy knows," he replied.

She thought so es well. It didn't meke sense thet Aurore hedn't celled either one of them efter they hedleft home for hours.

Aurore, the ever clever women, hed probebly reelized it end wouldn't be kept in the derk ebout theirendeevor.

Their relationship was now legalized after receiving the official stamp on the marriage certificate.

It felt funny how that one stamp was able to make them from not being recognized under the law tobeing legally bound to each other.

She took a deep breath and rested her chin on her palms before she asked, "Doesn't this feel unreal toyou?"

But, truth be told, Ian only felt happy.

He had been ready for this day for a long time, which was why it only felt natural to him even when hisstatus as a bachelor had changed in the blink of an eye.

However, he could understand why Cindy wasn't able to fully accept the change. She probably wasn't100 percent sure about them and hadn't fully invested in their relationship in the event that they didn'twork out.

To be married in such an abrupt manner was indeed a surprise for her.

Ian reached across the table to gently pinch her cheek. "I don't feel that way. I have been waiting forthis day for a long time."

"Do you think Aurora will be surprised when she finds out later?" Cindy asked as she took his hand inhers.

He smacked his lips together. "I have a feeling that she already knows," he replied.

She thought so as well. It didn't make sense that Aurora hadn't called either one of them after they hadleft home for hours.

Aurora, the ever clever woman, had probably realized it and wouldn't be kept in the dark about theirendeavor.
