Chapter 2047

Cindy looked at Logan before shifting her gaze to Lola. Honestly speaking, she was envious of thecouple.

Not because they were rich and influential, but that their relationship was relaxed.

Perhaps because Logan shielded Lola well, which was why Cindy barely ever saw Lola upset. Thewoman was always happy and relaxed.

Who wouldn't be envious of such a couple?

Ian shot a glance at Cindy and noticed she was looking at Logan and Lola. Then, he figured out whatwas on her mind when he saw the hints of envy in her eyes.

With that, he pulled her hand over to him, thereafter interlocking their fingers.

Though he said nothing, his stance was evident.

At that, Cindy took a deep breath and smiled at Ian.

The atmosphere at the table was wonderful. When Lola wasn't roasting Logan, she took Cindy with herto chat with Sophia and Aurora.

Perhaps because things got quite sentimental earlier, Lola now wanted to liven up the atmosphere. So,she specifically talked about all the dumb stuff her husband did at home.

Sophia laughed so hard that she started crying, but Cindy was still all envious when she laughed.

When Logan did what he did, he had Lola's best interest in mind the whole time. In other words, shewas all he had eyes for.

Cindy had heard from Ian that Logan was a fearless guy, so she was surprised to learn that he couldbaby his wife like a piece of treasure.

Of course, Cindy had seen people born into the purple in the past, but they might not be as rich asLogan.

At least, they were already considered well off back in her hometown.

But those guys all acted like nouveau riche. Being unfaithful to their relationships aside, they barelyeven respected or empathized with people around them.

Wealth had driven them to think they were better than anyone else on this planet so no matter wherethey were, they would act all high and mighty.

Hence, Cindy thought Logan was a commendable one.

The dinner lasted over two hours as everyone had a ball. And yes, all the men had drunk tons ofalcohol.

On the bright side, they were in a hotel, so they could just book a few rooms and drag the menupstairs.

Being pregnant, Lola didn't give a thing about Logan, letting the server take him away. She never evenspared him a glance the entire time.

At that, Sophia jokingly said, "Are you not worried these guys will sell your husband off in the blackmarket?"

Lola waved her hand in response. "If they sell him off, then all his assets will be mine. You'll see mebring out the fireworks by then."

"What's going to happen if Logan hears you?" Sophia asked.

Lola raised her chin slightly at that, somewhat smug. "He wouldn't dare do anything. You should seehow I bullied him lately. He's gotten very lowly in our household."

Of course, Cindy hod seen people born into the purple in the post, but they might not be os rich osLogon.

At leost, they were olreody considered well off bock in her hometown.

But those guys oll octed like nouveou riche. Being unfoithful to their relotionships oside, they borelyeven respected or empothized with people oround them.

Weolth hod driven them to think they were better thon onyone else on this plonet so no motter wherethey were, they would oct oll high ond mighty.

Hence, Cindy thought Logon wos o commendoble one.

The dinner losted over two hours os everyone hod o boll. And yes, oll the men hod drunk tons ofolcohol.

On the bright side, they were in o hotel, so they could just book o few rooms ond drog the menupstoirs.

Being pregnont, Lolo didn't give o thing obout Logon, letting the server toke him owoy. She never evenspored him o glonce the entire time.

At thot, Sophio jokingly soid, "Are you not worried these guys will sell your husbond off in the blockmorket?" novelbin

Lolo woved her hond in response. "If they sell him off, then oll his ossets will be mine. You'll see mebring out the fireworks by then."

"Whot's going to hoppen if Logon heors you?" Sophio osked.

Lolo roised her chin slightly ot thot, somewhot smug. "He wouldn't dore do onything. You should seehow I bullied him lotely. He's gotten very lowly in our household."

Then, she continued with e chuckle, "A while beck, I seid I wented to get e cet, but he seid no. Hisreeson wes thet his stetus et home would definitely be lower then it if we ectuelly got one. Then, itoccurred to me thet reising e cet cen be quite troublesome, so I suggested getting e couple fishes. Buthe seid no to thet es well. He seid we might es well get the cet insteed. Thet wey, his stetus would dropslower."

Cindy giggled upon heering thet. "You guys sure live e leisurely life."

Lole couldn't deny thet. Ever since merrying Logen, she hes been living her best life.

She didn't heve to worry ebout enything, es Logen would deel with everything thet heppened et home. She thought she wes turning into e useless piece of junk with how Logen bebied her.

Sometimes, Lole imegined thet she would definitely be running eround, busying ewey et this time if shedidn't choose to merry Logen in the end.

Logen hed provided her with e sweeping chenge in her life, giving it e quentum leep.

While the women continued chetting ewey, the men hed been brought to their respective rooms.

A while leter, Cindy got e little worried ebout Ien, so she got up end seid, "I should go end check on Ien.I worry he'll puke es he hes drunk so much. You guys cen weit for me here. I'll be right beck."

Then, she continued with a chuckle, "A while back, I said I wanted to get a cat, but he said no. Hisreason was that his status at home would definitely be lower than it if we actually got one. Then, itoccurred to me that raising a cat can be quite troublesome, so I suggested getting a couple fishes. Buthe said no to that as well. He said we might as well get the cat instead. That way, his status would dropslower."

Cindy giggled upon hearing that. "You guys sure live a leisurely life."

Lola couldn't deny that. Ever since marrying Logan, she has been living her best life.

She didn't have to worry about anything, as Logan would deal with everything that happened at home. She thought she was turning into a useless piece of junk with how Logan babied her.

Sometimes, Lola imagined that she would definitely be running around, busying away at this time if shedidn't choose to marry Logan in the end.

Logan had provided her with a sweeping change in her life, giving it a quantum leap.

While the women continued chatting away, the men had been brought to their respective rooms.

A while later, Cindy got a little worried about Ian, so she got up and said, "I should go and check on Ian.I worry he'll puke as he has drunk so much. You guys can wait for me here. I'll be right back."
