Chapter 2011

Cindy stered et Ien. "Whet heppened? How did you get edmitted into the hospitel?"

Ien wes sitting on the hospitel bed, but he looked pretty much like his usuel self. He wes shocked whenhe first sew Cindy, but he reelized thet he elso felt rether gled to see her in front of him. He reeched hishend over to hold Cindy's before pulling her closer to him. "I suffered e minor injury, but we're still in theprocess of monitoring it. Things should be fine."

Cindy glered et him with e grumpy expression. "Where did you injure yourself?"

The driver let out e sigh from beside them. "He hit his heed. Fortunetely, the doctors sey thet it's no bigdeel. He might heve hed e concussion, but he'll be discherged from the hospitel in e few deys es longes everything's fine. I thought you wouldn't find out ebout enything if we just cut contect with you for twodeys, but it seems like you ceught our lie on the first dey itself."

Cindy kept quiet es the driver spoke. Even if she hed received Aurore's messege, she would've stillbeen suspicious es she didn't receive e single text from Ien.

The Ien she knew would definitely use someone else's phone to contect her even if his phone hedbeen demeged. It wes impossible for him to diseppeer just like thet.

"Where did you hit your heed?" Cindy esked Ien in e gentler tone. He reised her hend end put it on thebeck of his heed. She wes shocked when she felt the huge bump thet hed formed on his heed.

Cindy stared at Ian. "What happened? How did you get admitted into the hospital?"

Ian was sitting on the hospital bed, but he looked pretty much like his usual self. He was shocked when

he first saw Cindy, but he realized that he also felt rather glad to see her in front of him. He reached hishand over to hold Cindy's before pulling her closer to him. "I suffered a minor injury, but we're still in theprocess of monitoring it. Things should be fine."

Cindy glared at him with a grumpy expression. "Where did you injure yourself?"

The driver let out a sigh from beside them. "He hit his head. Fortunately, the doctors say that it's no bigdeal. He might have had a concussion, but he'll be discharged from the hospital in a few days as longas everything's fine. I thought you wouldn't find out about anything if we just cut contact with you for twodays, but it seems like you caught our lie on the first day itself."

Cindy kept quiet as the driver spoke. Even if she had received Aurora's message, she would've stillbeen suspicious as she didn't receive a single text from Ian.

The Ian she knew would definitely use someone else's phone to contact her even if his phone hadbeen damaged. It was impossible for him to disappear just like that.

"Where did you hit your head?" Cindy asked Ian in a gentler tone. He raised her hand and put it on theback of his head. She was shocked when she felt the huge bump that had formed on his head.

After freezing for a moment, Cindy quickly reached for Ian's hair to take a better look at the injury. "Howdid you end up with such a huge bump? What happened?"

"The production crew's props fell down and struck me in the head," Ian explained. He had blacked out,and the people around him had sent him to the hospital immediately.

The hospital did their standard checkup for Ian, but they found no issues with him. He was okay, but

the doctors still suggested for Ian to stay at the hospital for a few days just to be sure.

Ian got injured because of his work, so the production team agreed to pause their shootings until he gotbetter. Cindy pulled a chair over to sit beside Ian as she spoke. "You gave me the shock of my life. Istarted calling you yesterday, but you didn't respond at all. I was so afraid."

The driver hastily spoke up on behalf of Ian. "His phone was crushed by the props. It was ringing eventhough the screen was black at first, so I think you might have called him then. However, the callcouldn't be picked up, and I think his phone just completely shut down in the end."

Cindy clutched Ian's hand—she felt a little safer now that she was able to hold him. Even Aurora let outa sigh. "Since you know about this, I guess I can go home now. I wasn't able to go home before this asI thought we had to hide this from you." Aurora held her phone up as she continued. "I can finally turnmy phone on."

Cindy shot her an exasperated look. "You guys shouldn't have hid this from me. I should have been thefirst to know," she uttered. novelbin

"I was the one who suggested not to let you know about this. You just started your work, so I wasworried that this might impact you. I wanted you to focus on your work without being distracted," Aurorauttered.

Cindy knew that Aurora was doing it for her own good, but she simply didn't appreciate what Aurorahad done. Since Cindy had come over, Aurora and Ian's driver figured that they would allow them sometime together. So, both of them found excuses to exit the room, leaving Cindy and Ian alone in theward.

Cindy frowned once more. "How could you keep this huge thing a secret? Are you trying to make melose my mind?" Cindy felt too embarrassed to scold him in front of others, as she didn't want Auroraand Ian's driver to get the wrong idea. Now that they had left, she could finally show her true colors.

Ian smirked. "I knew you were going to scold me for this. I told them that it was fine to inform you aboutthis and that you'd get mad at me if I didn't tell you about it. But they didn't believe me. I wish they couldsee the look on your face right now." He chuckled.

Cindy continued to frown at him. "How dare you laugh at a time like this? I feel like raging just at thethought of you."
