Chapter 1967

One of the people said that Ian was filming nearby and suggested that they tell Yulia about it.

The executive director smacked their lips. “Never mind, she’ll never get Ian. With a personality like that, only unpopular ones would want to stick to her to get more fame and recognition. Someone like Ianwould have their principles intact, and he could definitely climb the ranks without her.”

The others nodded in agreement. “That’s true.”

Then, someone asked, “You know Yulia, right? Have you heard her talking about Ian in private?”

The executive director shook their head but also said, “She never told us in private, but she might haveasked someone else to convey her intentions for us to pressure Ian a little. You know, snip hisresources a little and force him into a corner.”

The others were stunned. “She can do that? Doesn’t Ian have a girlfriend? It’s one thing to likesomeone in private, but another thing altogether to act on it.”

The executive director chuckled. “That’s the sort of person she is. She just has to get everything shefancies.”

The others could only sigh upon hearing those words. “She’s this bold because she’s involved with hisinvestors and sponsors. Any other person can only watch as their dreams get broken.”

The food Ian ordered was served then, so Cindy and Ian simply focused on eating, pretending not tohear the gossip. Rumors and gossips were too common in the entertainment industry.

Perhaps offended by the topics being thrown around at that table, Cindy and Ian quickly finished theirfood and left the food truck. After walking for a while, Cindy finally spoke up. “Is that really the executivedirector? What’s with the back-fence chats?”

Ian smiled. “The executive directors are many in number, so one or two of them would be normalpeople who are willing to engage in gossip like that.”

Cindy pouted. “Still, do you think everyone in that circle knows about the matter between Yulia andyou?”

At the mention of Yulia, Ian couldn’t help but sigh a little. “Not just their circle; I think even outsidersknow.”

The person just now was talking in a loud voice, so the surrounding people must have heard it all. Therumors might spread the next day. However, even if they did, Ian wouldn’t be affected too much by it.To be honest, the problem was definitely with Yulia’s side of things.

Yulia’s friends had really done her dirty this time. Ian took a long walk with Cindy, and the two acted likea lovesick couple, leaning against each other throughout the whole walk.

Soon, they came upon a musical fountain in a park nearby. Cindy dragged Ian over to have a look. Thefountain wasn’t something new to them, but the atmosphere was lovely, so Cindy wanted to makethings more romantic.

Ian complied with her and followed her to the fountain, after which the two stood by as they watchedthe little show. There was already a crowd gathering, and most of the people were parents with their

children.

The musical fountain had lights too, and the pillars of water danced along with the music.

Ian wrapped his arms around Cindy from behind. “We’ve seen this sort of fountain in our previousfilming, right? Why didn’t you have any reactions then?”

Cindy couldn’t remember it at all. “Really? I don’t know.”

Wait? Did we? Why can’t I recall anything? When her relationship with Ian was still up in the air, shehad always just carried out her duties responsibly.

She wouldn’t remember which places had musical fountains, for she had ignored everything to do withfun and games.

The night breeze was cool as it blew in their direction, causing some of the water droplets from thefountain to sprinkle on them. Cindy leaned in closer to Ian. “It’s a good life, isn’t it? To go out for walksafter dinner like this. No one will recognize us, and we don’t have to be worried about how others seeus.” novelbin

Ian leaned in toward Cindy’s ear and gave an affirmative hum. “I like days like this too.”

They weren’t very ambitious in their career, so they were more willing to take things slower and spendtheir days in leisure.
