Chapter 1963

Cindy had initially planned on strolling around the general vicinity of the hotel, but her legs seemed tohave a mind of their own, and soon she found herself wandering in the direction of Ian’s set.

A few more studios were filming their own shows and movies in the nearby area, so there were plentyof crew members walking around.

She walked aimlessly around those sets for a bit, but she had no ulterior motive; she was merelycurious as to how the other sets would look compared to Ian’s.

Alas, she had barely covered any distance when she was recognized by someone, who promptlywalked up to her and asked if she was Ian’s girlfriend.

The person asking was a girl who looked like she was one of the extras. She had on make-up that wasa little smudged and dirty on purpose, so she seemed somewhat vicious as she spoke.

Cindy wasn’t quite sure if the girl was one of Ian’s diehard fans or stalkers, so she hesitated beforeanswering.

The girl stared at her for a long moment, then suddenly grabbed her by the wrist as she pressedearnestly, “You are his girlfriend, aren’t you?”

Cindy tried to pull away as she said, “Let go of me, and we’ll talk about this, okay?”

However, the girl didn’t seem to hear her and held on even tighter instead. Those around them werestarting to look over in their direction, and others who were clueless about this approached them as

well.

Now that a crowd had amassed around them, Cindy admitted fearlessly, “Yes, I am. Now can youplease let go of me? We can talk after this, okay?”

Upon hearing her admission, the girl let out an excited howl and practically dug her nails into Cindy’swrist. “Does this mean Ian is shooting nearby? You’re here to visit him, aren’t you?”

Cindy made a shocking noise of affirmation, and this only spurred the girl on, for she went on and onwith her rapid-fire questions. She asked Cindy where Ian was filming and confessed that she had onlybecome an extra because she couldn’t find his set, so she wandered into the first one she saw, only torealize that she didn’t know anyone. As if that wasn’t bad enough, she still couldn’t find out where Ianwas.

At first, Cindy thought she looked rather vicious with the makeup, but now that the girl had spoken, shefound her rather adorable in a dorky way.

Suppressing the urge to laugh, Cindy cajoled, “Here, why don’t you finish filming here, and we’ll dropby to see you later? I’m sure you can meet Ian then.”

The girl was beside herself with excitement as she grabbed Cindy’s hand urgently, stomping her feet.“Right here? Later? Are you and Ian going to show up here?”

Cindy nodded. “Yes, right here. We’ll see you later.”

The girl eyed Cindy warily for a while, her tone taking a serious turn. “I’m taking a leap of faith here, sodon’t give me false hope, okay?”

Cindy hummed in response, still trying to keep the laughter from escaping her. “Don’t worry, I won’tmake false promises.”

It was only then that the girl released her, and Cindy loosened the bundled nerves in her wrist as shewaved goodbye at the girl. “Bye, then, we’ll see you later!”

When she left the set this time, Cindy dared not run into any other set than Ian’s, fearing that she wouldmeet another fangirl.

Ian was still filming his scenes, so Cindy stayed by the sidelines. She peered around for the driver aswell, but he was nowhere to be found, so she staked out a quiet corner and watched the filmingprocess.

Ian seemed like an entirely different person at work; all the familiarity had gone out of his eyes andexpression, and he took on a whole new character like fish to water.

Cindy wasn’t sure if this was what they called ‘acting skills’ in show business, and she wasn’t sure ifshe liked this side of him either. She only knew that she felt like she was looking at a stranger in herboyfriend’s body.

The actress who played the female lead radiated charm in every one of her gestures and smiles, andCindy viewed her differently than the way she did Yulia.

When it came to the latter, she was envious and hostile, but with this actress, Cindy felt nothing butenvy and maybe just a tinge of jealousy.

As the filming went on, Ian delivered his lines without rest, and occasionally the cameras stoppedrolling so he could take a drink of water.

Cindy could tell he was dedicated to his work, and the director would walk up to him every once in awhile to give him pointers on how to convey his character’s emotions and thoughts. Ian looked solemnas he absorbed all the tips, and when it came time for him to apply them, he did so perfectly.

After watching him for a while, Cindy stopped and turned to focus on something else. She didn’t thinkshe had the fortitude to watch Ian get intimate with another girl, even if it was just for show, and shecertainly didn’t want to grow resentful of her boyfriend’s career. novelbin

As such, she walked away from the set and came across the vacant space next to the set, whereuponshe sat down. Taking her phone out, she began to scroll through the news and online tabloids. Shewanted to see if the crew members here had posted her pictures with Ian to garner the buzz theyneeded for the show.
