As long as he was unmarried, then she would still have a chance. Yulia was surprised when Hannahcalled her earlier. She didn’t want Hannah to know that she liked Ian. Hannah was Ian’s manager afterall, and if Hannah knew about her thoughts, it’d affect her relationship with Hannah.
As expected, Hannah was angry after knowing what happened, especially when she found out thatYulia was trying to work together with all the crew members from famous shows to ruin Ian’s career.They didn’t argue during the call, but the talk didn’t go well.
Yulia said she never planned on hurting Ian, but Hannah didn’t buy it. Yulia could understand why. Shedidn’t know what the director told Ian, but it wouldn’t have been good. Yulia didn’t ask the directorthough, since he was just trying to help. Not to mention she did say that Ian kept rejecting her after shegave him resources.
Everyone in the industry had a short temper, and rejection was enough to trigger an argument. Thedirector must have tried to help her, but what happened after that was a problem for Yulia. She knew anapology wouldn’t be enough to settle it. Yulia remained in her car and pursed her lips for a while, thenshe looked at Ian again. “I don’t know what Felix said to you, but that was not my intention. I wouldnever hurt you.”
Ian didn’t care about that. He thought it was a good thing that this matter was brought to attention, as itgave him a reason to tell her to stay away from him. Thanks to that, Ian looked calm, or to be precise,he was cold. “It’s fine. I don’t mind.”
Yulia had nothing to say to that. She had come as fast as she could to tell Ian that she wouldn’t hurthim even if she couldn’t get him. However, his response told her that he didn’t care about her no matter
what she had in mind.
Yulia took a deep breath. “It’s fine if you don’t care, but I’m still going to make things clear. Yes, I have ashort temper, and yes, I can be petty, but I would never do this to you. Felix must have misunderstoodme. I’ll clear things up with them.”
Ian only looked at her in silence.
Yulia didn’t like the look he was giving her. It was alien and distant. When they first met at thephotoshoot, Ian was polite with her. She had kept in touch with him after that, and he was alwaysgentle. Yulia still couldn’t understand why and when they got distant. She had tried to get closer to him,but the gap widened instead.
Cars kept going in and out of the neighborhood, and the residents were out and about as well. Ianstopped for a moment, then he took a few steps back. I’ll be going back if you have nothing else to say.There’s a lot of people here, and it’s going to be bad for my rep if they see me talking to you.”

Ian went back to his neighborhood. Yulia looked at him in the rear-view mirror, and she pursed her lips,but the look on her face kept changing.
