Cindy stood up. “Are you going out?”

Cindy was worried. “Why don’t I go with you?”
Ian headed straight to the foyer. “It’s alright. Just wait for me at home. She might be more agreeable ifyou aren’t around. I’ll see what she has to say, and then I’ll tell you about it.”
Cindy paused for a moment, and she agreed to it. She sent Ian off, and after he went down, she sighedand went back into the house. Since it was early and she had nothing to do, she sat on the couch.
It was nearly lunchtime, but she had no appetite, and she wanted to eat nothing. A while later, herphone rang, and she took it quickly, thinking that it was from Ian. However, she calmed down when shesaw the caller’s name. Aurora? She composed herself and took the call.
“Hey, Cindy. What are you doing? Are you busy?” she asked, but she didn’t sound too happy.
“Oh, I’m just lazing around at home. Are you home, Aurora? Wanna come over?”
“Sure. Give me a minute. I need to talk to you.”
