Chapter 1906

However, since they did date for a long while, there was a modicum of love between them. Aurora feltglad that he came to see her, but she also felt melancholic. If the man had come to see her at herlowest, she would have been a bit softer on him. However, he had disappeared and didn’t even call herwhen she needed him most. Now that she no longer needed him, he showed up again and said heloved and missed her. Naturally, she was angry, and she wouldn’t give him another chance.

Half an hour later, the delivery came, and Aurora started digging in. Cindy knew it was getting late, soshe said goodbye and headed back to her place. However, not long after she came out, she met theman at the junction. He’s still here after so long? Feeling surprised, Cindy stopped in her tracks.

The man turned around after she appeared. “Hello.”

He was waiting for me? Cindy pursed her lips and nodded at him. “Were you waiting for me?”

The man looked at her sheepishly. “I want to talk to you.” Then he asked, “Did you have dinneralready? I’ll treat you.”

Cindy remembered the excuse she made up back at Aurora’s place. She explained, “It’s fine. Aurorawas upset, so she made dinner for us at home instead. I’m full now.” novelbin

The man nodded. “Can I have a few minutes of your time? I want to talk to you.”

To be honest, the man shouldn’t talk to Cindy no matter what he had to say, since they had just met. Ifhe did want to say something, he should say it to either Aurora or Ian. However, Cindy only hesitatedfor a moment, then she nodded. Ian’s not here, so I guess I’ll take his place. I want to know why he’s

here as well.

Aurora might have made her comeback, but she’s still in a precarious situation. If any scandal were topop up, it’d be a disaster for her.

The man was relieved that Cindy agreed. “Let’s find a place to talk.”

Cindy followed the man quietly and went to a nearby restaurant. The man obviously hadn’t had dinneryet, and he ordered some food right after he sat down. Since Cindy already had dinner, she leanedback on her seat and looked around calmly.

While the man waited for his food to be served, he poured a glass of water for Cindy, and he smiled.“I’ve seen you on the news before. I know you’re Ian’s girlfriend.”

“Yes.” Cindy didn’t elaborate on that. Instead, she asked, “How long did you date Aurora?”

The man thought about it for a few moments, then he answered, “Years. We argued a lot in the earlydays, since we needed time to mesh together. Despite that, we didn’t break up. Eventually, everythingstarted to settle down, and I thought it would keep being that way, but in the end, she went back to theentertainment industry anyway.”

Cindy said nothing for a while, as she wanted to hear what the man had to say, and indeed, he had alot to talk about. He even went into the details of the days he spent with Aurora, and Cindy could seethat the man was trying to say that he really loved Aurora. He was trying to say that he had to break upwith her because of circumstances he couldn’t control.

As for what the circumstances were, well, he kept it a secret. He talked a lot, and some soundedcomplicated, while some sounded too simple. He’s hiding something.
