Chapter 1843

However, Yulia was the type who would never search within herself for the source of the problems, so itwas problematic to deal with this kind of person for long. In fact, it would be a hassle if one’s stancewas different from hers in the future. Ian didn't dare to say that he knew Yulia well, but he knew thatwhat Yulia showed now was an air of dictatorship.

He didn't speak for a long time while she continued for a short while before seemingly finding it boring,so she stopped. After walking around for a while, he no longer had the mood and wanted to returnhome, but she saw a bench and said, “Let's sit there for a while; there's a lot to tell you.” novelbin

Stopping, Ian turned his head to look and hesitated for a moment. No matter what Yulia wanted to tellhim, he didn't really want to hear it. However, after thinking about it again, he realized that he needed achance to say something properly. He felt that her attitude was vague, but now his own attitude was thesame too. So, even if she didn't make some things clear, he should make them clear.

Therefore, Ian nodded and went to sit down on the bench. The bench could seat three people, so thetwo of them sat on either side of it, leaving a large space in the middle. Yulia said with a smile, “Ihaven't been out in such a leisurely manner for a long time. There are so many things around me thatmy life has been so fast-paced that I have no way to stop and appreciate the scenery.”

He was still hesitating about how to talk to her properly about not communicating to each other if therewas nothing important. Then, she spoke again. “Perhaps others will think that my life is wonderful, butonly I know the sacrifices.”

Ian turned to look at her. “I’m the same. In the eyes of others, my life is not bad at all, but look at thekind of life I live.”

Every single family member of his was up to no good and he had to be criticized because of his familyaffairs too. Yet, he felt that these were things that he should endure. The adult world was not thatsmooth sailing, so if one wanted to be a public figure, one must be able to bear the public scrutiny. Howcould it be possible for one to take all the advantages but not suffer at all?

Yulia looked at Ian with a very focused gaze, and as their eyes met, he felt that she was looking at himwith passion. Not only was he unhappy, he even felt goosebumps on his skin. After all, she had afreezing temperament, so it made him uncomfortable for her to look at him with such a gaze.

Ian withdrew his eye contact first and said, “Every industry has its difficulties; at least we make moremoney. People in other industries have suffered so much yet may not earn in a lifetime what we earn inone year.”

Yulia nodded. “That's true.”

After giving it a thought, he responded, “I knew from the beginning when I entered this industry that thisroad will not be easy, so I have prepared for many things. I never assume that I’ll be successful untilthe end and I’m not a sentimental person either. If I can’t survive here, there are always other placesthat will take me.”

Upon saying that, he smiled. “I actually regret it sometimes. If I didn't get involved in this industry, Cindywouldn't be brought into it by me and she won’t have to bear those groundless accusations. In fact, what has she done wrong?”

When Cindy was mentioned, Yulia's expression changed. Then, Ian sighed. “Sometimes I think that if Ican't continue any longer, I'll quit the industry. By then, my life with her may be a little morecomfortable. After all, one can earn money anywhere, and in any case, what I already have is enough.”

Yulia pursed her lips. “I didn't expect you to have such a deep affection for her.”

The expression on his face was gentle as he replied, “She has rejected a lot of people for me before. Our feelings are mutual, so she deserves this.”
