Chapter 1835

Also, Cindy had seen too many celebrities who looked down on everyone else simply because they gota little more famous. They really think they’re better than everyone else simply because of that little bitof fame.

To be honest, it was all the fans’ fault for spoiling them like that. Ian proceeded to chat a little with thedriver. They were talking about how their lives had been, so there wasn’t really anything notable.

Now that Ian had returned, the driver definitely would come back to him. Cindy could see that thisdriver was truly happy about this change. Still, it was also true that Ian was less of a troublemakercompared to the others.

This could also be related to his character. He wasn’t one to show off, and he also hated complicatedthings. The people around him would naturally feel more at ease.

After some chatting, there wasn’t anything important left to do in the company, so Ian left with Cindy. The driver still had some handing over to do, so he didn’t follow them out.

After getting out of the company, Ian put on his mask, then followed Cindy to the design company shehad her eyes on. The design company was quite famous, and Ian had also heard of it before.

He once attended an event where some of the clothes were designed by the designers in thiscompany. Once they arrived at the company, they went to the receptionist to ask if they were recruitingtrainees.

The receptionist was busy, so she only glanced at Cindy and Ian before nodding. “Yes, we are. Are you

here to apply?”

Cindy said yes, then continued, “I’m here to look around first.”

The receptionist rang up the HR department and briefly explained Cindy’s situation. Cindy couldn’t hearwhat was being said on the other end of the line. Regardless, after a few seconds, the receptionisthung up and told her, “Take the elevator to the third floor. Someone will be there to assist you.”

Cindy thanked her, then walked to the elevator with Ian and went upstairs. True enough, someone wasalready waiting to receive them, and it was a young lady at that.

After getting out of the elevator, Ian had a look around. The company was considerably large, and italso had quite the number of employees. It seemed to be a busy day, as everyone was bustling about.

The two were led into the meeting room, where the woman said smilingly, “It’s a bit busy here rightnow, but let’s get a preliminary understanding of things first.”

Cindy didn’t bring her certificates today, for she only had this spur-of-the-moment idea of going back toher own profession. After all, she still hadn’t figured out how to handle her Ian-related work.

Therefore, Cindy only got a preliminary understanding of the company. The company was indeedrecruiting trainees, but their requirements were also quite strict.

At least from the requirements stated by this woman, Cindy wasn’t very sure if she qualified.

She didn’t have much work experience, so she had little to offer aside from the few things she learnedin school. She also didn’t have anything popular in her portfolio.

Also, having abandoned her profession for so long, she knew it wouldn’t be easy to start back on track.Due to Cindy’s obvious hesitation, they didn’t talk for long.

When the woman saw Cindy and Ian out, she hesitated a little as she looked at Ian. “You seemfamiliar.”

Cindy said, “He’s wearing a mask, so how did you see the familiarity?”

The woman chuckled. “Just a feeling. You’re a celebrity, aren’t you?” novelbin

Ian said, “I wish I were a celebrity myself.”

The woman nodded, then turned her gaze to Cindy’s face.

Cindy wasn’t afraid to be looked at. She had exposed her face on the internet before, but the photos inthe news were all taken at horrible angles, and there was always a filter on top of those images.

In reality, she didn’t really look like herself in the photos, plus she never mentioned her name just now.Hence, as long as she stubbornly denied her identity, the woman wouldn’t be able to do anything.

Fortunately, the woman didn’t say much as she watched them enter the elevator.
