Then, Cindy recalled how exhausted her mother was after her father’s funeral even though many of herrelatives came to help out.
She could imagine how Sean was feeling at the moment.
At the same time, Sean had leaned against the couch before he weakly instructed, “Get someone toclean this place within these two days and you won’t have to worry about other stuff anymore. Take atwo day break after this and rest well. I bet you guys are all worn out as well.”
After the butler reassured Sean that he was alright, he pondered for a moment before informing Sean,“The lawyers called us a while ago asking when we will finish dealing with everything.”
The lawyers had most likely reached out to them because of the will.
As soon as Leah, Simon and Sally, who were all waiting in the living room, heard the butler mentioningthe lawyers, all their expressions changed.
Nevertheless, Sean didn’t look like he was in a hurry. “Let’s do this after we all have enough rest.These two days have been too tiring for us. If they reach out again, inform them that I’ll contact themonce we are done with everything.”
Meanwhile, Leah opened her mouth and looked like she wanted to say something but ended up notsaying anything in the end.
After everything that happened, she knew she was not welcome in this place and if she were to sayanything right now, her words would probably be refuted.
Simon and Sally remained silent when they saw that Leah didn’t say anything.
A while later, Ian broke the silence. “If there’s no need for my help, I’m leaving now.”
Sean looked up to stare at Ian. “Just leave. You’re probably exhausted after these two days as well. I’llgive you a call if anything happens.”
Ian hummed in acknowledgement before he stood up along with Cindy. “I’ll be leaving by plane a dayafter tomorrow’s cremation, so you can give me a call if you need anything.”
However, Leah didn’t expect him to leave so soon and she couldn’t help but blurt out, “Are you reallyleaving immediately after Old Mr. Morgan’s cremation? Can’t you stay a little longer?”
He acted as if he didn’t hear what she said as he really didn’t want to speak to her before noddingtoward Sean. Then, Ian held Cindy by her hand before the two of them left the living room.
Once they had walked a distance away from the house, Cindy burst out laughing. “Are you seriouslynot even going to talk to her anymore?”
Although the corners of Ian’s lips lifted upward, he didn't look like he was smiling at all. “I just don’thave anything to talk to her about.”
That was true. After all, there was probably more to what Leah had previously said. She probably justwanted Ian to leave after the lawyers announced the will.
Still, his decision to wait for the lawyers to announce the will didn’t really bring her much advantage or
disadvantage.
Cindy couldn’t help but think, Maybe Leah just wants to take advantage of Sean to cause more troublelater on.
After the two of them entered the car, Ian didn't immediately start the car engine as he didn't knowwhere his destination wasnovelbin
He didn’t really want to head home, but there weren't any places in particular that he would like to visiteither.
Meanwhile, Cindy caught onto what happened when Ian fell silent and he didn’t look like he was goingto switch on the car engine anytime soon.
After contemplating for a while, she suggested, “Why don’t we go and watch a movie together? I knowof a comedy movie that has just been released and there’s an actor in this movie that I really like andwant to support.”
When Ian heard her, he nodded. “Sure thing.”
Then, he started his car engine and took Cindy to a nearby mall.
There was a cinema at the top floor of the mall. As there weren’t many people at the cinema during theday, Ian and Cindy went to purchase a pair of tickets and entered the cinema hall after waiting for awhile.
There weren’t many people in the cinema hall apart from the couples who booked corner seats to make
out.
When Cindy thought about the movie that she had watched with Ian and Aurora, she recalled how sheran into a pair of couples that were hugging and kissing each other.
Back then, although Cindy was really embarrassed about it, Aurora seemed really excited about it.
Nevertheless, all of the couples that were in attendance now weren’t making out with each other.Instead, most of them cuddled with each other, which made the environment look sweet.
When Ian sat down, he quickly leaned backward with a stern look.
Still, Cindy didn't try to converse with him and she only waited for all of the lights in the cinema to go offto signal the start of the film.
