Chapter 1791

Still, some people highlighted the issue of inheritance. Even though Bryce wasn’t a good person, hewas still adept at earning money. He did have a considerable amount of property in his hands.

This property would definitely spark a war between his children. After all, they were born to differentmothers, so they would want the best for themselves.

Many people guessed that Leah and her children would get more of the property. Other factors aside, the three had already won in terms of number.

Also, Leah had stayed by Bryce’s side in his old age, so even if Leah was involved in some scandal,Bryce was already in hospital at that time, so he might not have enough energy to rewrite his will. So,most people were quite sure that Leah would win in every aspect.

Many people admired her. She had a lowly background, but thanks to her good eye, she clung to amoney tree and managed to transform her life after waiting for the guy to die. She truly spent years ofpatience and endurance to make this gigantic leap across the class.

There were all sorts of comments about Leah, some in admiration and some others in disdain. Somewere indifferent, but most of them weren’t really too concerned.

Of course, some also guessed that Leah might not be given a large share. Bryce was, after all, acunning man who had seen the worst of life. Also, businessmen always had cards up their sleeves, sothey wouldn’t just fall into traps so easily.

After reading the news and comments, Ian put down his phone and closed his eyes as he leanedagainst the rocking chair. He had woken up early this morning to help arrange and clean things up, so

now he was tired and groggy.

He lay there and napped for a while, then sensed that someone was walking toward him. He thought itwas Sean, so he kept quiet.

The person stood by him for a while. “Do you know what’s in the will? Did Sean tell you anything?”

The voice definitely wasn’t Sean’s; it belonged to a woman. Ian froze, but he didn’t open his eyes as hereplied, “No. I think he doesn’t know either.”

Leah stood there, obviously not buying it. “He had stayed by Bryce’s side in the last days, so he shouldknow. Bryce always favored Sean, so he definitely would tell Sean about it.”

Ian’s voice was sarcastic. “If you want to know, you can just ask him. What are you trying to get fromme? He’s resting in the backyard; it’s not far from here. Just walk on over.”

Leah pursed her lips and said no more. To be honest, she had been tolerating Sean because shefeared him.

Now, even when Bryce was gone, and Leah didn’t need to consider Bryce anymore, she was stillfearful of Sean. novelbin

After all those years, it was already a habit for her. Also, when she took her children to Morgan Group,Sean didn’t even treat her well,

She was indeed afraid to go up against Sean. After standing for a while, she was still upset, but shehad no choice but to turn and leave.

Shortly after Leah’s departure, the butler came up to him, pulling a chair along to sit on. After taking hisseat, he said with a sigh, “I wonder how Old Mr. Morgan handled the will. Those three mustn’t be givenadvantage.”

Ian curved his lips into a smile. “The others wouldn’t know, but Simon and Sally are his biologicalchildren, so he would still give them something.”

The butler sighed. “I can see that Old Mr. Morgan was getting frustrated with those three. You weren’tat home these few years, so you don’t know of the things going on in the family. Old Mr. Morgan was inill health, but Young Master Sean was busy with work and was seldom home. The two other childrenwere always messing around outside, and that woman… She didn’t even care.”

With that, he paused for a while, as if in exasperation, then said, “The two children caused manyscandals, and Old Mr. Morgan was so furious about it that it only worsened his health.”
