Chapter 1754

Leah should know Bryce better than anyone, given that she had lived with him for so many years. Hewould never yield to anyone. The only way to get anything from him was to please him. If Leah tried togo against him, Bryce would rather bring everything to ruin than give her anything.

Cindy still felt unwell after lunch, so she went back to the room and slept.

Ian was about to go back to the room after he cleared the table as well, but then his phone buzzed. Hepaused for a moment, but instead of taking his phone out, he went to the balcony. Once he was there,he took it out and, as expected, Sean was calling him. Well, someone’s in a bigger hurry than I am.

Sean probably had no one else he could talk to, especially when it came to the chaos of his household. He could not confide in anyone but Ian, after all.

Sean wasn’t actually living a much better life than Ian did. Leah and her children disliked him, andBryce had built a wall between them. It was a miracle Sean actually managed to retain his sanity whileliving with a family he hated. Double the miracle because he managed to take over the company bit bybit.

Ian took the call, and the first thing he asked was, “So? I take it that the dust has settled on your side?”

Sean chuckled. “You must be waiting for this. You’re curious about the mess too, aren’t you?”

Ian laughed. “I’d sound really heartless if I said yes. Having fun at the expense of someone else isn’t agood look on me.”

Sean clicked his tongue. “If I were you, I’d really double down on the schadenfreude. The household’s

always been a chaos. Lots of old grudges and bad blood here, so it’s normal that anyone would want tolaugh at us.”

Sean’s thinking had changed a lot. The Morgans weren’t united anymore. Everyone had their ownplans, and they cared for no one but themselves. He would have left the family like Ian did, but he justcould not let everything go. His mother had helped Bryce raise the family to riches, but not long aftershe reached the height of glory, all that wealth fell into someone else’s lap. novelbin

Sean could not let that slide. He would never feel satisfied if he did not take back what was his. Hewouldn’t even have cared about it if Bryce was the only one who did all the work, but alas, half of it wasto the credit of his mother, and he would not let that fall into Leah and her children’s hands.

It was fortunate that Bryce wasn’t senile, and he never treated Sean too badly. Whenever they got intoany situation, Bryce usually took his side. If he didn’t, life would have been hell for Sean.

Sean said, “The old man talked to Leah. I have no idea what they talked about, but it did not soundgood. He almost fell after Leah and her kids came and caused a ruckus.”

Ian was surprised to hear that. “And? Is he fine?”

“Yeah, but he started suffocating, and his face turned blue. The doctor had to come over and check upon him.” He continued, “They left after a while though. Probably on their way over to you. You’d betterlook out for them.”

Ian had thought about that as well. Leah had tried to get him on her side, but he had refused her. Shemust have started harboring a grudge against me since then. After finding out that he and Sean cameto see Bryce, Leah must think that they had come to an agreement without her knowledge. On top of

that, her scandals were starting to come to light, and Ian had warned her the last time she called him.She must know I’m behind this.

Now that she has no choice, she will come to me and try to gain some edge. Ian snorted. “She can dowhatever she wants. If she actually comes to my place, I’ll show her an even deeper depth of hell onearth.”
