Chapter 1752

Cindy was still shy, and she kept covering herself up so he wouldn’t see her naked. However, she didnot understand that covering up was useless when they had gotten to that point. Ian leaned against thedoor and crossed his arms, his lips curling into a smile. Love was a magical thing. Even though theywere doing and saying nothing, and even though Cindy didn’t know he was there, he still felt happy justseeing her.

The delivery came a while later. Ian took it and placed it on the table. After he set the table, he went towake Cindy up. He sat down beside her, turned her around, and kissed her cheeks loudly. “Lunchtime. You can sleep after you eat.”

Cindy grunted and hugged Ian all of a sudden. “I don’t feel good.”

Shocked, Ian asked, “What happened?”

Cindy answered weakly, “It still hurts a little.”

It still hurts? What does she… Oh, I get it. He heaved a sigh and huddled closer to her. “I’ll go softernext time,” he whispered.

Cindy closed her eyes and pinched Ian’s waist. “You dirty pervert.”

Ian chuckled quietly. “But you might not like it if I go soft.”

“Oh, get off you. Shoo. Right away.” Cindy was getting embarrassed about the dirty jokes. She pushedhim away and sat up.

Ian lay down on the bed. “Don’t be shy. It’s too late for that at this point.” novelbin

Cindy didn’t want to listen to him. She got out of bed and quickly went to the restroom to look in themirror. Alright. I don’t think the hickeys are too obvious. Then, she went to Aurora’s room and knockedon the door. “The food’s here, Aurora.”

Cindy called out to her again before Aurora answered, but she sounded weak. “I don’t have anyappetite. You guys go ahead without me, alright?”

A frown appeared on Cindy’s face. “Aurora, you sound unwell.”

Aurora did feel unwell. Her head felt light, and everything was spinning. She had fallen asleep earlier, but it was a fitful sleep filled with dreams. Her past came back to haunt her in those dreams, and shefelt restless because of them. Even after she woke up, she still felt dizzy, and the past was still vivid inher mind. Aurora rolled over and wrapped herself tightly in the blanket. “I feel fine. You guys just goahead without me. I’ll get some sleep. Don’t worry, I’ll eat once I wake up.”

Ian came out from his bedroom and stood behind Cindy. “What is it? Is my mom still sleeping?”

Cindy turned back and shook her head. “Aurora doesn’t sound too good.”

Ian quickly knocked on the door, and it was loud. “Mom, come out if you’re awake. You can go back tosleep after you eat.” No response? Aurora’s silence worried him, and he knocked on the door loudlyagain. “I’m coming in, mom.” When Aurora said nothing again, Ian twisted the doorknob. Luckily, it wasnot locked, and he opened it with ease.

Aurora was lying on the bed. The curtains were drawn and the room was dark, but they could still seeher curling up in her blanket.

Cindy went over first. She stood beside the bed and stared at Aurora for a moment before putting herhand on Aurora’s forehead, but what she felt shocked her. “She’s really hot. It’s a fever.”

Ian went to check on his mother too, then he pulled the blanket away and propped her up. “Get up,mom. We’re taking you to the hospital.”

Aurora turned around and squinted to have a better look, then she waved him off. “I’m fine. It’sprobably because I covered myself up with too many blankets.” She turned around in an attempt to goback to sleep, but Ian pulled her back. “That is one lousy excuse. You’re practically burning up! Mom,you’re sweating all over!”
