Chapter 1702

Although he was involved in some scandal as well in the past and Cindy was also anxious about that, she was not in the same state back then. Ian gave a dry smile as he went over to the door and lookedat her as she busied herself in the kitchen. She looked rather beautiful that way, which tickled Ian'sheart.

Soon, Aurora passed by Ian. She turned around and walked toward her room. "Ah, I have beenchecking the phone all day and did not get to sleep. I have to return to my room to lie down for a while. Thus, I won’t be able to hear anything. Just say whatever you want between you two."

He knew that she was creating an opportunity for the two of them, so he did not say anything else andwaited for her to go back to her room and close the door before he walked toward the kitchen.

Cindy had already cooked the rice and she was now preparing to fry it. Then, Ian went over and stoodby the sink. "Is there anything I can do to help?"

A startled Cindy hadn't even noticed he had come over. The only thing inside the sink were somevegetables, which had already been washed, and to be honest, there was nothing he could help with.Since he was unfamiliar with the kitchen, he could make a mess out of everything.

However, Ian still insisted, "Find something for me to do. Anything I can help you with?"

Those words were really not easy for him to say, so when she heard him saying so, she couldn’t refusehim. She thought about it and replied, "Then, help me to slice these vegetables."

Following that, she also did not forget to remind him, "Be careful."

Ian was not that stupid to not be able to cut vegetables. He used to live alone and although he did notoften cook, he still knew basic things like how to cook noodles or an omelet. Therefore, he nodded andwashed the vegetables again before he sliced them and cast them aside. As he looked quite seriouswhile doing all this, she couldn’t help but stare at the side for a while. To be honest, even though hewas really attractive onstage, she felt that he looked different while watching him in the kitchen cuttingvegetables and cooking. I suppose he will be good to his wife in the future, like John and Logan. Hiswife should also be a good wife like Sophia and Lola.

Cindy withdrew her gaze and went back to start heating up the pan. Since she drizzled the oil, sheintended to fry the vegetables. While she did so, there was no need for Ian to be there, so she said,"Go out and wait. The fumes will be heavy here in a while."

While wiping his hands, Ian turned to lean on the sink. "It's okay, I'm not afraid."

His reaction had caught Cindy by surprise and she wondered what he wanted to do. She turned herhead to him and frowned. "Then, what are you doing here? Go over to the sofa and watch TV."

"What's so good about TV?" He stared at her with crossed arms.

The statement made Cindy confused. What's so good about TV? What's so great about watching mefrying vegetables?

She tried to steady herself and turned her head to start heating the oil before she threw Ian's choppedvegetables into the wok and started to stir-fry. The way she fried the vegetables was quick anddecisive; it was obvious that she was frugal and often cooked at home.

He also did not know what was going on in his mind. The more he watched her, the more he liked it. Itwas not that he had never seen her prepare food before, but he never had such a feeling. He suddenlyfelt warm and content in his heart. In fact, all the news on the Internet didn’t have any impact on himand he seemed to be emotionally stable too.

Compared to Ian’s behavior, Cindy's heart was in a state of flux.

As he had a focused and deep gaze, how would she be able to stand it? That man had such agorgeous face with a pair of beautiful eyes. She was just a mere mortal—how could she endure it?

She suppressed her emotions and finished stir-frying the vegetables before plating it. Then, she turnedto hand the plate to him. novelbin

"Take it to the table."

Ian laughed a little, but he obediently took the plate over. Cindy originally wanted to take advantage ofthis matter to make him leave the kitchen, but unexpectedly, after he brought the plate away, he cameback within a few seconds.
