Ian frowned, but he didn’t reply immediately.
Sophia waited for a minute before saying, “I mean, you might have to go somewhere for your job at anytime, so I don’t want to delay this in case you can’t free up your time. That’s why I want to do it sooner.If you don’t want to merge the meals, then we’ll have it at my place tomorrow, and you can treat us nexttime. What do you think?”
Ian wasn’t refusing her. He would have said yes immediately in the past, but with Cindy here, hewanted to be a bit formal. He wanted to introduce her during the dinner, but now that Sophia hadchanged the plan, he sighed. “I’m just trying to say that it’s discourteous of me if you’re the one beingthe host all the time. Sophia noticed it was getting awkward, as if they weren’t close anymore, so she ended the call rightthere.
After that, he turned around to look at the bed. Apparently, Cindy didn’t take up a lot of space earlier,and she didn’t even use the blanket. She’s starting to get too careful at my place. It didn’t sit right withhim, but he couldn’t complain about it either.
