Chapter 1594

Logan was immediately piqued. “Do you know who did this? If you find it difficult to deal with them, Ican help you to take care of them. I don’t mind the trouble. I’m not in the entertainment industry andalready have a bad reputation to begin with anyway, so I’m not afraid of anything.”

Somehow, his words made Ian feel better. “You don’t have to do anything. Just spend your time withyour wife. My agency should be able to take care of such a menial mess.”

“If they can take care of it, why is the mess still there even after a few days have passed?” Loganasked, sounding a little disgruntled. “Is your agency even capable of handling such matters? It seemslike they’re quite slow to react to a situation.”

Stumped, Ian had to agree that his agency was slow in their crisis management. Or maybe it wasbecause they hadn’t found a particularly convincing reason to explain this situation.

There were so many discussions ongoing on the internet that if no conclusive evidence was presentedfrom the beginning, it was very likely that people wouldn’t believe any other thing that was said afterthat. As Ian didn’t want to continue discussing this matter, he shifted the topic. “How’s Lola doing?”

At the mention of Lola, Logan became so delighted that Ian could hear the change in his tone of voice.“Her belly is beginning to grow bigger, and it’s not so convenient for her to move around, but hernegative reactions toward pregnancy are gone. She’s eating and drinking well. Also, she’s much morecheerful, laughing every day. You have no idea how much better my days are when she’s in highspirits,” he said and chuckled loudly.

Pursing his lips, Ian wanted to laugh along with him, but he was simply not in the mood to laugh. So, he

simply said, “Sounds good to me.”

After that, Logan went on to say that John kept skipping work despite Sophia lecturing him about it afew times. In the end, she moved into a separate bedroom from him out of frustration.

While Ian kept his silence, Logan chuckled again and added, “Do you know that John even calls me tocomplain from time to time? He used to be such a proper person before this. But now, he’ll call meevery time Sophia is annoyed with him, asking me to help him put in a good word for him with Sophia.Just the thought of it makes me laugh. Who knew he’d have such a day coming for him?”

Seated on the bed, Ian lifted his head and looked outside the window. Sophia… I’m glad she gottogether with John.

Then, he recalled the scene that day when he went to visit her at the hospital. At that time, she wasalready fast asleep, and John was guarding against him so that nobody would wake her up. Althoughhe thought that John was being rather childish then, looking in retrospect now, he found his actionsadorable.

This was the first time Ian sincerely felt that he could give them his blessings now.

“Didn’t you say that you’re coming back last time?” Logan asked after his laughter died down. “Whenare you coming back? Come back together with Cindy!”

Pursing his lips into a thin line, Ian thought, Go back together with Cindy? It’s already over between us.But he couldn’t bring himself to tell him the truth. “She’s quite busy, so I don’t know whether she’ll befree. Let’s wait and see when the time comes.”

Meanwhile in the hotel, Cindy took out her cell phone and checked it. Sure enough, there was a textfrom Ian, but he didn’t mention anything special. All he said was, there was a misunderstandingbetween them and he wanted to talk about it. novelbin

Misunderstanding? Cindy snorted. Is that a misunderstanding? Didn’t it happen for real? What did Imisunderstand? Instead of replying, she deleted the text and went to wash her face. After that, she saton the bed and logged in to her gaming account.

In order to avoid Ian, she even turned on stealth mode, but after she logged in, she noticed that hewasn’t even online.

Aurora mentioned that he’s a little frustrated now. If that’s true, then he’s probably not in the mood forgaming, she thought.

In fact, the same could be said of Cindy. But she really couldn’t think of anything else to do. A boredmind tended to wander, especially now that her current situation was a little special.

Whenever she had free time, she would recall the moment from last night when it happened. Thatsensation on her lips was simply unforgettable. Every two rounds of the game, she would check onIan’s status, but he was offline the whole time.

She got bored after that. And since she couldn’t concentrate on the game, she decided to stop playingentirely.
