Finished, he turned to Aurora and put a stop to the conversation. “Okay. You should go get some rest.We’re gonna be busy doing nothing for the next few days. How nice.”
He then turned around before Cindy could respond. After he left, she pouted her lips as she remainedstanding for some time. For some reason, her conversation with Ian earlier felt weird. It was a mixtureof scorn and indifference. She couldn’t quite wrap her head around it. In fact, there were so manythings lately that she couldn’t think it through. Yet, she couldn’t tell if she was complicating things.
After a while, she turned around and returned to her room. Since Aurora was around, she felt ratherinsecure when she was walking to her room, as if there were secrets she was hiding. Upon enteringher bedroom, since she had nothing to do nor was she feeling sleepy, she grabbed her phone andstarted reading some gossip.
So far, Ian’s news was all over the place. However, perhaps it was because his previous news blew upso huge that even the netizens now grew somewhat weary of his situation. Prior to this, news anchorswere always reporting about his scandals, only to retract with proof that he was set up afterward. Thus,some people had taken this into consideration before posting their comments.
No one could tell whether history would repeat itself, causing them to embarrassingly take back theirwords. Knowing how people had grown after numerous incidents, Cindy felt slightly relieved.
Accordingly, she swiped her phone to look at Yulia’s page, where mean, hateful comments were stillstorming the comment section. Many of Ian’s fans had pushed the responsibility of him getting introuble to her. Since the incident had only blown up after Ian and Yulia’s meeting, the fans’ simpleminds naturally thought it was her that caused him the hardship.
Seeing those comments, Cindy couldn’t determine whether those were Ian’s fans or merely her haters.There were some comments that were written straight from the commenters; the others felt ratherperfunctory with the way they expressed their defense for Ian.
Cindy could only heave a sigh. Oh, showbiz can be quite overwhelming! One can’t even begin toimagine the atrocities in the field.
Sick of the mindless news however still wide awake, she hesitated for a bit before logging in to hermobile game to pass time. Surprisingly, Ian was also online when she logged in.

Seeing that Ian had already started, she didn’t wait for him and queued for a game by herself. It wasindeed liberating to play alone without bearing the burden of having teammates. After all, she didn’tcare about winning as long as she had a good time.
After one game, she glanced at her friends list and saw Ian had already begun another game. Itseemed Ian hadn’t the intention to wait for her. She simply smiled before starting another game. Afterwho-knows-how-many rounds, she never once teamed up with Ian as they were always missing eachothers’ game-end.
Eventually, Cindy logged out before lying on her bed and took a quick nap. As she wasn’t exactlydrowsy, she only napped for about half an hour.
