Chapter 1539

She’s pretty straightforward to speak whatever that is on her mind.

However, her demeanor made Ian speechless. Initially, he had wanted to analyze the pros and cons forparticipating in couples’ reality shows for her but now, he gave up on that idea.

Hence, he merely hummed in agreement and turned around to go to the dining table to wait for her.

In the end, Cindy made noodles for breakfast. After bringing two plates of noodles out, she placed oneof them in front of Ian, but he looked at it without any appetite.

Raising her head to look at him, she asked, “Do you not feel like having noodles? Let me know whatyou want, then. I’ll make it.”

“It’s fine.” Ian picked up his cutlery and mumbled, “I’m not a picky eater, so I’ll eat anything.” novelbin

Cindy finally realized that something seemed off and she really looked at him. “Is it because you don’twant me to participate in the reality show? I thought that Ms. Jones only talked to me after you agreedto it and made up your mind that you wanted me to join you.”

Ian raised his head and looked at her. “It’s not that. I am not opposed to your participation.”

He scooped the noodles and looked at it. However, he was really in no mood for food right now, so heput them down again. “I just think that it will affect you greatly if we attend such shows together.”

After a moment of hesitation, Cindy said, “I won’t be in the entertainment industry in the future and Idon’t know what the future holds for me. The most practical way is to earn more money so that I willhave a better life. If you are referring to my reputation, I think it will be fine. After some time passes, noone will remember this.”

Upon hearing that, Ian admitted that she made sense, so he became quiet again.

And so, the both of them had breakfast silently, but neither of them ate much. In the end, they left a fairbit of food behind.

As the shooting for today was not until later, they were in no hurry to go out.

After Cindy cleaned the kitchen, she went to sit on the couch.

Meanwhile, Ian had already returned to his room and closed the door, so she had no idea what he wasup to.

She glanced at her phone and saw a message from Gary.

It was sent ten minutes ago, so she quickly looked at it.

Turned out that he had asked when she would be free to sign the contract, so she quickly replied, ‘Iwas busy just now. When would you be free?’

After all, she was quite free. If it didn’t work out, she could meet Gary when Ian was shooting someprograms. Truth be told, it would only depend on when Gary would be able to make it.

Upon receiving her reply, he immediately called her. Efficient people like them usually did not like tosend messages.

And so, Cindy picked up the phone and addressed him. “Hello, Mr. Frye.”

His voice was quite gentle. “Are you busy now? If you have time, you can come over today.”

Shen then looked at the time and quickly asked, “Is it okay for me to go over now? Ian has not startedshooting yet and it will start only later on in the day.”

“Sure,” Gary replied immediately. “I thought you would be busy in the morning. It’s fine if you come inthe afternoon.”

“Don’t worry about it. I have the time now and I’ll go over to your place straight away.”

At that, he hummed in agreement. “Okay, I’ll wait for you then.”

After hanging up, Cindy quickly changed and knocked on Ian’s door.

Before even waiting for his reply, she announced, “I’m going over to Ian’s place to sign the contract. You don’t have to rush. I will come back quickly.”

She heard some rustling on his end. After a few seconds, Ian opened the door. “I’ll go with you.”

She froze before saying, “Uh—I can handle it alone, though.”

As Ian had already changed just now, it was no hassle to him. “Come on, I’ll go with you.”

It was at this moment that Cindy recalled that Ian once said that he wanted to join her in makinginvestments with Gary.

Maybe he also wants to see if the program Gary recommends is reasonable.

In the end, she nodded and murmured, “That works fine too. Let’s go together then.”

And so, they walked out from their house and hailed a cab to Gary’s office.

When they arrived at his office, Gary was quite shocked to see Ian tagging along with Cindy.
