As she spoke about this, Naomi became rather wistful. “Cindy, you are such a well-rounded person. Inthe past, you were excellent at sewing and now, you even picked up cooking. You are the role modelfor all women.”

Naomi smiled. “I’m praising you, yet you are insulting me?”
Cindy laughed out loud. As she hugged one arm around Naomi’s waist, she explained, “How would Ibear to insult you? Why are you thinking so much?”
Ian raised his head and looked at the interaction between Cindy and Naomi. It seems like it’s only infront of Naomi that Cindy would laugh so freely. Even though Cindy will sometimes squabble with me, Ican clearly feel that she is still keeping a distance from me.
The distance between him and Cindy was a coincidence that could not disappear in a short time.
When she was laughing out loud, she saw him staring at her from across as soon as she lifted herhead.
Ian was looking at her intently. As he was already handsome, it was difficult for her to stomach his gazewhen he gazed at her in that manner.
Cindy’s smile slowly disappeared as her heart raced suddenly.
Naomi did not notice that as she leaned against Cindy’s shoulders. “When we were still in school backthen, you weren’t so bubbly. You used to be gentle, yet when you speak now, it feels as though you aregoing to a warzone with guns and knives.”

Ian retracted his gaze and lowered his head as he ate.

Her cheeks were red and she was having dreamy eyes. Not to mention, her breath even smelledslightly like alcohol.
However, he was annoyed by her words. I was in her dreams, but all she remembers was my fortune.How is it that she could concoct such ‘nice’ dreams?
Aurora, who was sitting beside them, wasn’t in the mood. She set aside her cutleries halfway throughdinner and announced, “Please continue eating with me. I’ll take a rest first since my head is killingme.”
It was almost immediately after that Cindy quickly made a glass of honey water for Aurora. “Drink thishoney water while you’re taking a breather. If you still feel terrible, I’ll make some tea to help with thehangover.”
Aurora suddenly thought of something and walked to the couch as she replied, “I bet you can’t findanother woman on the Internet who is as good as her.”
Cindy frowned. Well, one praises me even more intensely than the other.
Ian did not comment on that and instead told her, “You better finish your dinner since my mom will justrest in that corner. I think she will be okay, though. She drank more the other time, so I’m sure she willfeel better after taking some rest.”
Without saying another word, she nodded.
Since Naomi did not drink, she enjoyed the food a lot. When she was about to finish her meal, sheraised her head and saw him. “From what I read online, you are no longer young. Haven’t you thoughtabout when to settle down?”
Both Ian and Cindy knew what Naomi was implying.
As she fully knew what Naomi would say next, Cindy quickly interrupted, “Enough of this. Let’s continueeating.”
Naomi did not look at Cindy at all. “I’ve already finished my meal. Why don’t you just sit aside andlisten?”
With that, she continued to ask him, “I know celebrities don’t treat their ages seriously, especially you,since you’re now famous. I don’t care whether you are planning to announce your relationship or not,but I know that you will attract more fans if you are single. However, I think that you will also have someplans. Have you ever thought about when to settle down?”
Ian leaned against his chair and turned to look at Cindy.
Since she was slightly helpless, she shot a glance at him. It really isn’t on my orders that Naomi asksthose questions. I know where I stand. Not only do I not want to ask these questions that overstep hisboundaries, I don’t want to know the answers either.
After a moment of hesitation, she decided to speak up. “We have no plans about this for now. None ofthe plans can ever accommodate any form of changes. Let’s see how his career goes.”
Naomi turned to give Cindy an aggrieved look. “You are young now, but you won’t stay at this ageforever. What happens when you get older? Other people might not have plans about their future, butyou can’t do the same.”
